Mehndi functions in our family have always been mixed ..... but we only invit people that we are close to. Not just everybody. on the wedding and Valima, everybody is invited but we keep mehndis and dholkis very intimate so all the girls can dance, sing and have fun with rasams without feeling shy!!!

when my cousin gt married she wore a yellow and green churidar suit which her inlaws had made for her. it was really nice. il try 2 post pics once i have learned how to do it. i think traditional always looks best.

I really like the choice of colours she picked for her outfit, its a nice change from traditional yellow/green

actually, the funny this is, both her shaadi and mehendi outfits were made by mrs. kazmi in pakistan. annie (my friend) is here in toronto. she basically spoke to mrs. kazmi on the phone briefly and described the kind of look she wanted, and mrs. kazmi did the rest herself- including the colors and styles for both outfits. and you're right, the orange/green shirt and then the shocking pink churidar with it looks very fresh and nice.
mrs. kazmi is really good at what she does, i tells ya, but it stil takes courage to leave your outfits to someone else! a control freak like myself just wouldn't be able to :p

shes in karachi. bunto kazmi is her nameā¦ she doesnāt advertise anywhere- sheās so good, her only advertising is word of mouth. i can get her number for you and PM it over.

oh she didnāt mess it up after all and it came out GORGEOUS and i canāt wait to wear it IA! 
this is the outfit, but i have to say, mine is 100 times better! she did kundan ka kaam on it and put some little diamond like stones on it and i think it has some dabka as well.
