i realy want an arabian style mehndi...but all the companies i have contacted have given me ridiculous quotes, and we have spent so much on the actual wedding i dont wana spend alot on the mehndi....so.....
i thought il hav a mehndi with a hint of something arab in it (if u get what i mean) like have rich colours like deep blu,red,orange,pink colours for decor...but how else can i get an arab feel at the mehndi?

itz goin to b ina hall n about 150 ppl are goin to attend... i was thinkin of seating on the floor etc
n il have the hall for abt 7hourz.

i would say hire a tent and have palm trees, seating on the floor, and coloured fabrics from the top of the cieling that would be cool wid shisha's for the guests
hy then you could do some belly dancing oh la la!
lol dat sounds goood, i was tinkin of getin a marquee in the garden but ders too many ppl but my garden is too narrow n wont look ryt....so how can i manage that in a hall???

well since it's arabian themed then that's probably the best idea. are ok with sittin on the floor as well? if so then that might save on hiring a seating arrangement.
i guess you will need large rugs, a lot of cushions in different shapes, dark fabrics for the decor, some arab style props such as shisha's, lanterns or anything else that your friends and family might have that they are willing to lend, some potted palms, some low tables (especially around where your sitting)...
have you looked at how much it would cost just to have the main bit set up? you could do that and then get your family/friends to decorate the rest of the hall a bit. it would be nice to have the fabric draped from above to give a tent like effect but it might be kind of hard to do yourselves.

oh no itz in june next year x
the arabian theme will cost alot, its so overdone in the n/west of england at the moment.......if u do it urself it will not look arabian at all u need to sit and make a list of all the things u need and maybe do some trials to see how it will look on the day. u will only get an idea then!

i thought that if couldnt get the full on arabian look i will jus have a touch of it like low tables n seating with cushions etc
