Grooms name hidden in the right hand design…Arun:
For my wedding I used an artist my sister found on GatheringGuide, and the designs on my hands and feet both lasted and looked dark. I forget what she used, but I can ask my sister. Maybe I'll find a way to post some pictures.
does any one know how people get the mehndi outline to be really dark, almost black. They then fill the inside with mehndi and wash is it quickly so its light orange, looks really pretty but i dont know about the outline, or what they use?
This is called two tone henna. That is actually time consuming because first you have to the outline and let that stay on for several hours. The next day, after the henna has been removed, you do the shading and then remove after a shorter period. How long you keep it on for is really dependent on your skin type. If you take color fast, it needs to only stay on for about 15 mins or so, otherwise it may need an hour.
This is a picture of a friends mehndi.. i mean the artist who did this is my very good friend
Kiran Sahib…
her pics are stolen by so many people and been posted at various websites… i think people got the pictures from her facebook group..
she got so mad and took legal actions…it is huge issue for other henna artists..its a big topic on Henna tribe too..u’m sure people who are into henna/ mehndi and are members of henna tribe ..they know what i’m talking about
i care for you guys on gupshup..so i think its a good idea if you remove this picture from here.. i don’t want you goys to be in trouble…and please don’t get me wrong and fire the hell out of me ![]()

Re: mehndi designs
one last thing...I'm not critisizing any body here to post pictures of another artist...i understand we like pictures and we save them ...i do to...but i only posy my pics ....its like posting pics of someone wedding...we discussed about that so many times...we dont like when somebody take our wedding pictures from gupshup and put it on facebook or somewhere else...
i feel for these artists as I'm a professional artist myself...and i wouldn't want anybody to take my pictures off internet and start posting it ....its our hard work...and we post pictures on flickr and facebook so that our frinds can see it critisize and appreciate it...
please dont get me wrong...i really am not accusing anybody or critisizing
if anybody want mehndi designs and pictures you guys are more tha welcome to ask me...anytime :)
hugs xx
Re: Mehndi design on you wedding?
The henna artist is Madhurya Shroff. You can e-mail her at [EMAIL=“[email protected]”][email protected] or call her at 610-209-0222. I am absolutely floored at the detail. This was all done all free hand and she made it up as she went. Very cool.
Re: Mehndi design on you wedding?
I have posted some simple circular ones in another thread:
