Mehndi Colour Schemes

Hi there

Well I am getting married in Jan, I am stuck on mehndi colours…

I want my sisters and best frndz to where the same colour but there own designs ect…

I want 2 colours that will stand out , I had intially chosen yellow and turqoise but so many ppl have had that.

So please help… pics will be good too if any1 has them.

Hiya..same here we picked yellow and blue for our brothers wedding this summer but hav now picked orange and red sounds horrible but it does look v good!!

  2. umm i saw 1 colour themes like red on mehendis too simillarly just pink

  4. light pink n gold

or wot u can do is keep the colours different and tell everyone to wear a gharara or lehenga or chooridaar keep the style different??

i have made a ferozi n yellow suit on mayoun.. n for mehndi im thinking for yellow green.. i have asked everyone not to wear these combo coz i wanna look different :p similarly.. on shadi i have asked all my married friends n cousins to stay away from their SHADI lehnga warna mere sath sath 10 12 aur dulhanain ho jaenge :p

one morE idea keep 1 colr common like yellow ,green or REd n
other color differnt to every1's choice.. like
yellow have so many combinations..
yellow-turquise
yellow-light pink
yellow-magenta
yellow-green
yellow-red
yellow-purple
yellow-orange

and sooooo many others.. n these all combinations are very Nice for mehndi occassion..!

hiya, im new here hope you dont mind me chipping in! how about a multi-coloured suit with yellow as the main colour and then pink/green/turquoise with it? I think there was a pic on here of a girl called Rizwana who had an amazing outfit like that. If u cant find them on here there are pics of her on the x-quisite weddings website from the uk (sorry cant post a link i need to get to 25 posts 1st!)

then if you wanted you could have all your cousins/sisters wear one colour. That way its still obvious you're all dressed for a mendhi but you get to be more brightly coloured and stand out! (obviously! :p)

i had a gold and dark green gharara with red and turqoise accents, so the boys all wore dark green with red dupattas, and the girls wore yellow and red. my hubby had a dark green shalwar kameez also but he had a turquoise dupatta instead. then again, my wedding outfit was tan and green. if you're going to wear a red or maroon outfit for your wedding then maybe you dont want to do red on your mehendi day too?

olive green and turquoise would be great, or burnt orange and turquoise if you want something really bright.

why would you want everyone to wear the same colour for mehndi??

the more colourful the better! looks so much better in pics expecially with the girls.

With the boys u could get them to all wear the same but for girls different looks so much better

Anywaz luv the colour combos that you all came up with...

Not every1 will be wearing the same coulours only my 2 sisters and the my 3 best frndz all my other frndz will be wearing there own colours, an da boyz will be wearing turquoise kurtay, I just wnt the ppl close to me stand out.....

check the karma website- towards the end of the portfolio they have a gorgeous burnt orange and red outfit and she's wearing turqoise jewellery with it... its sooo beautiful!

Mehndi Colour Schemes

Hi everyone

I'm new to the forum and have been looking at various threads...think the site is fab!!!!

I'm getting married in July and in the process of organising the mehndi...was wondering if anyone has any ideas for colour schemes i can use for stages, my outfit and then close family n friends...i dont want traditional greens and yellows to be the focus so would like something different!!!

Any suggestions would be helpful!!!
