Ok guys, when exactly does the dulhan get her mehindi done? Is it usually before the Mehindi, during the mehindi in front of everyone, or the same night after the mehindi event is over?

Hey babe, I think there is no point having a mehndi function if your going to apply your mehndi before or afterwards.
I say its part of the fun to have mehndi artists doing your mehndi on the mehndi night with your guests there.
Other areas such as legs (if you want it done there) can always wait till later or be done before.

hey i'm thinking of having mine done before hand so my mehndi wali is relaxed then she said she can come and put on glitter wali mehndi with stones when its the mehndi night,

hey, they just use normal liquid glitter i think and stick on some gem stones, but it washes off,
there is one glitter that does not come off for a week! i'm trying to find out about it, cause
that would save money as i want glitter wali mehndi on mehndi night and barrat, walima.
My makeup artist (Dil Matharu who i think is fab!) suggested that i get maybe just a dull gold
or sliver then just add stones each function to match my outfit>?? i dunno how easy is it to stick on
stones? thats if i find this semi permant one,

I think the idea of getting put on whilst all the girlies are dancing on your mehndi is really nice.. I would get my feet and arms done probably a day before the wedding day..

Nope I would get it done during the mehndi and rest of it the day after :) Im not sure why but I prefer it that way!

Dont u think it would be nice to get pics of ur mehndi being applied aswell.. then ul have an opportunity take pics of the full mehndi whilst its on fresh..? Just a thought :)

Hmmm that's an idea. But i dont want too many pix of me getting ready u know... lol i sorta consider those private moments. If the photographer is there... all the aunties are gonna be there in my face lol.

Hey Devi123...pls let us know if u find a glitter mehndi tht stays on all week i wud luv tht...also if anyone knows the best mehndi to have u know the 1 that turns out dark the next day...like the ZUBADA MEHNDI...but i personaly think its not the same anymore..which is the other brand tht is just as good..??

lol DB NO! That wasnt the moral of the story although I didnt go on to read the thread so god knows what they went onto!
People were saying how tired they got getting their mehndi done and its really straining so maybe it is better to get the bulk of it done before and some for the photos on the day x
