Do you think it would be fair to say that the contribution of the devil whispers on the forum would be the difference in traffic based on the topics and where people are going to read the posts?
Or do you think we rig it that way unconsciously …

Thanks for your question ... Its not a matter of whether "he can" or "can't" be locked up ... Well it is sort of ... Allah (SWT) promised Shaitan that he is free to attempt spoiling humans and bringing us down with him ... Allah (SWT) however has given us a month within the year to recover from that damage and constancy of his influence.
But if the whole year is given to us then how can that promise to Shaitan be kept?
And Allah (SWT) is Capable of closing back the demons from us every day of the year if He so Willed it ... but He didn't Will it that way ... and we merely hear and obey where instructed.

waise it does seem a logical enough an explanation for me. It's like every year we are given this wonderful opportunity to repent for our sins and not have shaitaan lurking around with his evil whispering !

You know, shaitan is like a spoon and we are like a cup of tea. When you stir in the tea with the spoon, there is movement. The movement doesnt stop right away as you take out the spoon .. same way, Ramadan is the break Allah (swt) gives us from this spoon, there may still be some movement, but if we implement it well, the spoon shall never be stirring our tea again.

well my understanding is that even when devil is locked up, he has trained our nafs so much to be rebellious in past 11 months that we really don’t need him around all the time.
But since nafs depends a lot on the health of our physical body, fasting weakens the body and helps us control our nafs. When we learn to control our nafs, we are actually getting trained to control devil’s whispers too, ain’t we?
Now to strengthen our soul more to control our nafs, we give soul its food, Quran, whether in the form of listening it in Taraveeh or by personal recitation.

All we need to do to prove or disprove what I am saying is to look at the threads and posts of the past and see how traffic has varied ... My guesses are that cafe nonsense, sleazy and rude posts in general will have subsided. Religious topics will be discussed over more of the forums and not just in religion. And religion and philosophy forums will have had more traffic ... lastly ...
We are all slaves, some of us are slaves of Shaitan, some slaves of our nufs and others are slaves of Allah ...and most of us are one of these in the morning and another in the evening.

Well I'm trying to make an effort to stay away from the net altogether. So if people are refraining from posting nonsense, its because they're actually making an effort for Ramadan. We could do the same all year long regardless of the devil being unleashed but then we wouldn't be humans I guess.
