^ that could be rather passive aggressive hareem. Going to mazaars and asking the dead mullas, or whoever good soul is buried there, to help one establish a good connection or provide a good reference so that Allah pays more attention, I dont call that shirk. I draw a very clear line between intentional shirk and mere ignorance. I try not to be judgmental, but it really surprises me when people come up with such ideas. People visiting palmists and faqeer baba's to change their fate, how brilliant is that? A typical hypocrite mulla is worth a laugh, a dead mulla is worth two.
Having said that, I would much rather have a dog in the house (which I do, so did ashaab e kahaf if I am not mistaken - but alright thats not relevant) than to treat someone like a dog. I have seen some commendable examples of hypocricy, some 4-foot-beard-swinging-white-robe-wearing-fatwa-issuing mullas treating their servants like absolute garbage. But then everybody is not the same and nobody is perfect. Which brings me back to the point that when we argue over which hand to wipe the butt with and which hand to eat with, there are many much more important issues that we totally overlook.
Allah's tolerance and forgiveness is far beyond what these mullas portray, just my humble opinion.
