It seems like visiting mazaars are a big thing in Pakistan and India. There is a big one in clifton which is a very popular place, I remember. I am wondering if this is allowed? Can one visit such places or will it be considered shirk? Some people just go to read fatiha and that's it. What is the significance of such mazaars?
THIS THREAD SHOULD BE IN RELIGION FORUM BECAUSE THIS POST IS RELIGIOUSLY MOTIVATED.
that being said, It is irrelevant if it is allowed or not. Pakistan is a democracy and its vision as agreed by its founders was to allow anyone and everyone their rights. Especially religious ones. Pakistan wasn't created for certain type of sunnis. It was for all muslims...and anyone that wanted refuge in the sub continent.
Even if it is shirk according to your mullahs, you are powerless to do anything about it. Let the Sufis or whoever hangs out at those mazaars. As long as they are not zibahing people like the wahabis/taliban, they are ok.
