Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
Learn to laugh at his boring jokes or call it quits. NO need to drag it on either way.
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
poor guy is probably nervous. Though the age difference is kinda big. How is that gonna effect the whole "starting family" business? Does he want kids sooner rather than later? I think you should meet him in person!!

45 mins ![]()
I can’t even be on the phone for longer than 10 mins…kudos to him
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
The thing is guys....... I dont think 45 mins is toooo less, its like he talks for that long and I get bored and if I didnt find excuses to hang up he would actually carry on talking :/

Don't think he is ready for a fam but I have a feeling he will want marriage sooner rather than later!
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
shadi requires a little bit of maturity
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
Instead of asking him questions where he feels the need to give you detailed answers maybe you can talk about your self or other things.

Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?

It sounds like you don't find what he has to say interesting, rather than that he is boring.
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
Questions and answers are going to be boring. Try a conversation. Talk about different topics of interest.
I once asked a guy what he did after work, as in hobbies, he replied 'I watch LOTR back to back every other Friday.' I was stunned into silence, which is very rare.
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
in person you two might have more chemistry, maybe he's just not a phone person, give the relationship more time. His exciting personality might just take some time to bring out.
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
^Agree..
Most guys aren't as talkative or expressive on the phone as us girls anyway..
Keep us posted, Inspi :D

yes......I have never thought of it that way. Its probably fair to say I find him uninteresting than to say he is a boring individual.
Well I am gonna meet him so lets see what happens!
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
Ok soooooo FINALLY after like a bazillion years a guy (rishta) likes me! huzzaahhh
His mother called my mine and then my mum gave his mum my number and me and him have spoken 5 times. We have a 7 year age gap and he seems a normal person so far.
Now he wants to bring his parentals over to visit next month....... so the issue is.....
When I talk to him on the phone I can't wait to hang up because I find him boring. He is nice and tries to make jokes he is not silent he actually talks however I honestly always find excuses to hang up because I get reallllllllly bored after 45 mins or so.
Now, I have read on here how one should be practical in these matters and how good men are hard to find. So am I just too picky? Sometimes I feel like I am a commitment phobe too, like a small part of my brain thinks that marriage = end of life I remember my friends mum once saying ' shaadi se pehle apne aap ko maar do' thats the only way to survive and my parents well I don't think they get along that well although both are brilliant people they are just mere companions- I dont want that!
** The other issue is I have felt true chemistry before someone who I wanted to talk to alllll the time and someone who I could talk to for hours and hours and hours and who I got soo excited to talk to........but what are the chances of finding that again?**
So am I just being too picky?
(p.s. SK I got REALLY excited when this guy wanted to visit because I thought omggg I can make a new thread on GS :D )
good luck finding an accomplished guy who would love to talk to you for hours and hours. We dont have that much time to waste. We like to keep it short and straight forward.

This guy is a keeper, trust me. If he was not watching LOTR, he would be hanging out with other women in the clubs and in the bed and I am sure you wont like that. Just a friendly advice, this is a keeper. Shareef Naik bholay bhaalay uncle that all girls look for.
Re: Maybe..... I am just too picky?
you should NOT many the following guys (who are):
Quite an extensive list there, uncle.
I say down with marriage! Marriage is a useless custom which really has no place in 21st century. More and more educated Caucasians are realizing it and they dont get married but live as common law partners.
