The closest I have ever been to Pakistan was on Google Earth. Last night, my mom was showing me her neighborhood where she was raised, on Google Maps. Seems I’ve missed out on all the fun in Pakistan. I’ve heard many stories about huge weddings, Eid festivals, savory street foods, the simple life, and of course…(how could I not mention) the jinn stories! It doesn’t seem likely I will visit my motherland anytime soon, but coming across this forum awakens my imagination of how life would be like in Pakistan.
I recently joined and am quite impressed by the decent community here. MashaAllah, it is truly amazing. I catch myself lol-ing (no, literally, lol-ing) at comments, jokes, and posts. I thought it was about time I drop a line in the introductions and let you all know I am happy to be a gupshupper/guppan.
Looking forward to connecting with all of you!
btw, the title has nothing to do with the post… I’m just craving in the middle of summer and its a seasonal fall/winter drink here
Re: May I have a Pumpkin Spice Latte topped with whip cream, please?
Hahah. Welcome to GS I catch myself lol-ing on somedays too and somedays this place is sound asleep. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
I’ve done the whole google maps bit with my dad as well, he had such love when he was describing his neighborhood. Also, i’d love a taste of that latte too, although not a pumpkin girl. lol
