Maulana Ishaq views on shia and sunni

Re: Maulana Ishaq views on shia and sunni
Shias who don't believe in our Sahabah have their own Hadiths attributed to the Prophet and to their Imams because they dont believe our Sahabah were trustworhty enough to transmit Hadith.
Thats not at all what the shias believe. That shias are against sahab is a myth perpetuated by wahhabis. What IS true however is that shias dont consider ALL sahabis as the same. Many sahabis such as Hazrat Salaman Farsi (ra), Bilal (ra), Abuzar Ghafari (ra), Ammar Yasir (ra) and many more are held in very high esteem. Whether u agree with it or not; we should atleast get the facts straight. Try to find the REASONS why shias do not respect SOME sahabas and then attack those reasons. That would make for a more compelling argument from you point of view.
It's not so much about not believing in a certain Sahabi but rather the implications of that which is rejecting the Sunnah of the Prophet.

That's why a lot of Shiah religious beliefs, rulings and practices are different from ours.
I agree with you there. The sources of your hadith have huge implications theologically. hence it is even more important to find out if the Shias reject some sahabas rightfully or wrongfully. Try to research that.
So there can be no religious unity between the sects because the sources/basis of religion are different and contradictory for both sects.
try to understand what people here mean by unity. Unity doesnt mean that one side converts to the other. Shias will never become sunnis and vice versa. Unity here, in essence means tolerence. the ability to discuss, argue, debate within the bounds of respect, and ultimately even if common ground isnt reached; to disagree areeably. Unity means not going around killing one another. Unity means not calling each other kaffir on the basis of emotional grandstanding. This goes for both sides.
