Does anyone have matha patti designs??
any size would count right now..as I am in the brainstorming stage;)
I wanna use a matha patti to cover my front hair cuz I dont wanna wear hijab and thats the only cool solution i could figure out..to wear high neck top with lots of kaam and a matha patti with dupatta..

my suggestion would be something Aishwarya wore in Chokher Bali... the jewelery she wore on the forehead..watever u ccall it ...

i wore a matha pati when i got married but still regret it as it was not what i wanted......i still like a bindia and the other thing which hangs on the side..

I'm in the process of designing/buying a matha patti for the same exact reason! Any luck w/yours?
It's hard though because most of the shops in the US dont' carry matha pattis...if they do, they're artificial and very fake looking. I'm so tired of looking, i'd happily buy an artificial one only if it looked HALF DECENT :(
Also, since i'm really only going to wear this peice of jewelry once in my life, i dont' want it to be too expensive...

^ I don't know where it's from, but I've loved that pic since the first time I saw it. You could probably get it copied. I'm not sure, but I would probably look ridiculous with such a big central flower; i'd probably make that smaller, depending on your size and structure.

salam sis, is it really modest to wear such elaborate jewellery to cover your hair? why not just go with a nice fabric that matches with your dress?

:) So I'm not the only hijabi bride planning on wearing a matha patti to help cover up. I like teekas but I'm not a fan of the jhoomar, plus i can't wear it anyways cuz it would show too much hair.
Although I must say I plan on wearing the dupatta low enough so that my hair is covered either way. The matha patti is just there as a safegaurd, in case the dupatta slips back a bit. Plus I'm not sure how much hair it would cover anyways...I'm planning on getting a small one that sits at the hairline. The big ones are a little too attention grabbing.
I've posted a pic of a matha patti i really like before but it's not that big. Plus there are more on this forum. Just do a search.
Chameli, how high is ur neck going to be for the shirt? Are you getting like a mandarin/chinese (sherwani style) collar? or just a shirt with small neck? I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about that. The mandarin collar is one of my options.
