Tell me a Quranic or Ahadith fact about this…Where in ANY sources of Islam is this condoned?

"Prophet (pbuh) actually did have some sahabas who were not munafiqs..Owais Kurni who never met the Prophet (pbuh) got the news that Prophet (pbuh) lost one of his teeth in the battle of Ohad...He had so much for the Masoom Prophet that he broke one of his tooth, then he thought maybe this is not the same tooth Prophet (pbuh) lost and he broke second and then all of them....one thing i want to point out is that in the arab during and before the time of Prophet (pbuh) it was considered bad if you cried or hurt urself...so these usual munafiq sahabas find out about this and they came to tell Prophet(pbuh)...they were expecting Prophet (pbuh) to issue a fatwa and to get mad...instead Prophet (pbuh) said if any of you want "bakhshish" and to go to heaven then go ask Owair Kurni to pray for you..Haaaaa"
p.s. thats why i asked you if you know of sahabi Owais Kerni but you forgot to do some research..again before saying astaghfirullah do some reseach
That is not maatam as such- its called zanjeer zani, i agree- they have gone way over the top. Thankgod they are a minority.

when Prophets (pbuh) Sahabi Owais Kerni broke all of his teeth because of his love for the Prophet (pbuh)..would you have said the same thing? learn about history before you say anything
Unfortunately, fundamentalism exists eveywhere thesedays.

Exactly..Learn History before you come blabbering here......
If this tooth breaking episode happened..did the prophet condone it ? If so where's the evidence.
Why would the prophet want others to suffer where he suffered ? that goes entirely against his philosophy and character.

The Matam, Zanjeer, Qama'a or in other words the Azadari of Imam Hussain [as] is not a tradition, but it is very much of a natural effect on a
person who is in a love.
If it was a tradition or a culture, then it would have been limited to any
one culture, i.e. only in Arabs, Persians, Hindis, Pashtuns etc. But, we
find Azadari to be in practice from West to the far East.
Matam is not forced upon someone, nor it is ordered to be a Farz by the
Islam. It is ones own Aqeedah to go to such an extent, that the person will bleed himself for the love of Imam Hussain[as]. i.e. giving Shahdah that he would have sacrificed himself in Karbala if he was there.
If you hear a news that someone died in your street, you might show some sadness, if a news of some relative being passed away, that sadness will increase to some tears, or if a loved one passed away, the weeping will increase and a person might become out of control.
This is the very much nature here in case of Martyrdom of Imam Hussain[as]. We weep, we do Matam, we do Zanjeer, all in love of Imam[as].
This act of self flagation is not only came in practice after the life of
Prophet[saw], but infact during the lifetime of Prophet[saw], he has seen many occassions where a person has flagged or bleed himself. E.g.
The ever so popular Hadeeth of Owais e Qarni. He broke all of his teeth,
only upon hearing that Prophet[saw] lost his tooth in a battle. He did
this act in love for the Prophet[saw]. Indeed breaking your teeth is much
much more painfull than what we do now, i.e. Matam or Zanjeer. Just try to break one of your teeth with a brick, and then you will see how much pain Owais had. After this occassion, Prophet[saw] gave a message to Imam Ali [as], and said, "O'Ali do give my salaam to Owais if you see him, and tell him to pray for my Ummah. And let him know that he will be rewarded high status in Heaven." Which Imam[as] did gave him the message when he saw him on the battle of Sifeen. Owais was then martyred in battle of Sifeen by the Muwaviya.
Secondly, Prophet[saw]'s aunt A'atiqa wept and flagged her face in grief upon the dead body of her brother, Hazrat Hamza[as], in the battle of Uhud. Prophet[saw] was standing next to her, but he did not stop her nor did he say anything against her actions. This shows that this natural action of a human is according to Islamic laws. As it is a sould duty of a Prophet to instruct people to right from wrong in any instance and in any circumstances.
And finally, Lady Zaynab[sa] herself was the first one to Matam on the
martyrdom of her brother Imam Hussain[as], while she was taken away by the Yazidis to Syria. When she saw the head of Imam Hussain[as] on one of the spears, she struck her head with the mast of her tent, and made her forehead to bleed. Why she did all this? The answer is LOVE.
No one will cry, or do Matam or Zanjeer just for the sake of it, for Imam Hussain[as]. Only the people who have the love and understand the tragedy of Karbala will cry for Imam[as].

Laj, although I am not Shia (I am sunni), I believe eventually we all have to face Allah individually for complete accounting of our deeds. Allah and His Rasool (PHUH) have never mentioned anywhere that we (as Muslims) are responsible for others. We are responsible for our own deeds only. At the judgment day you will only be questioned for what you had done.
On the second thought as long as he is not poking that dagger in someone else body, that's OK. Let him perform the ritual peacefully. :)

first of all you did not take my advise...you dont know about this incident and you are showing how dumb you are...if i were you i would have found out if this incident actually happend before replying to the thread..then u asked did Prophet (pbuh) condone it..read my post again and confirm it..if you are unable to understand it then have someone else read it and explain it to you..jahalat ki intehaa hoti hai

Comrade sir..just because you said something doesnt mean its true.
When i ask for sources i donot ask for YOUR WORD...i ask for authentic sources on it
So once again..Did the Prophet (PBUH) condone it ? And if so show me some authentic ahadith, because the Quran sure doesnt condone the act of self mutilation.

sunnis agree with this...they do have alot of respect for Owais Kerni...its surprising you dont know about him...why do i need to dig for references from ur book when majority of the sunni know about it...is it my fault that you are not aware fo it..when sahabi told Prophet (pbuh) about this incident He told them that if you want to go to heaven then go and ask Owais to pray for you..so what does that tell you? there was a reason i told you to read ur history
Ive lived with Sunni's all my life....ive never heard them mention it.

If you refuse the challange that means u know that u cant authenticate your account of the Sahabi.
So once again..dont talk without proof..show me the authentication of that event please.
