what's up with Adam's dialogue to Sanam when he tells her to pick up the glass from the table because he can't tolerate it sitting on the table? Was she drinking alcohol? the dialogue just didn't make any sense.
I wonder if such men exist in the real world and how women actually deal with them. I know whose head I would be spilling the drink on if told in such a manner to pick it up. Thankyou god for letting me have a normal guy as a husband, phew!
Humsafar proved a point that the audience wants to watch new (and good looking) actors in a drama with high-end production values -- even if the story is very passe. Television producers should take a cue from that and work on their production and hire fresh blood, I mean in this serial Mehreen shd have done away with Sarwat Gilani and maybe Adeel Hussain too. They're not exactly gelling into their roles and they're not extremely easy on the eyes either. I hope I'm proven wrong as this drama catches steam.
I get the feeling that anybody who works on HUM TV has to sign a contract that they will only act in serials produced by that channel. That's the impression I got by what Ahsan Khan said about his contract with HUM TV during the special after Humsafar. That is probably why all the channels keep hiring the same actors, repeatedly, for their soaps. They are signed to a contract.
Yeah I think they were trying to portray Adam’s controlling manner. Junaid khan is like a male khirad with his shareefness and goody goody attitude. /QUOTE
Totally disagree. I not think Adam played by junaid khan is anything like Khirad. He probably americanized and has very little eastern vales.

I don't think that is the case. I believe it has more to do with production companies that like to hire the same actors. Humtv is family owned. Momina Duraid owns Moomal productions and their productions are solely produced for humTv. Goldbrige media which produced Samdan, Mujhe Sandal kher do also exclusively acts their productions on Humtv. a&b productions and humayon Saeed 7sky produce for all channels. I guess they sell their serial to highest bidder.
I don't know. Ahsan Khan said he works for Hum TV now, which leads me to believe that he is on contract with them. This is how Hollywood studios used to operate in the past.
Anyway, I am just glad I don't have to watch Sadia Imam anymore. I can't stand her and I'm glad the new production houses are not hiring her. :D
ah thanks ladies!! makes sense :) that dialogue was so random that it left me all confused. But have to give to Adam, he creeps me out already in just 2 scenes!
I think Sanam Saeed is so talented, i would have liked to see her doing Sarwat Gilani's role in this drama. Anyway, I am eagerly waiting for Zindagi Gulzar Hai. I am sure it will be just like Humsafar, in terms of popularity.
I like Sanam Saeed a lot, her acting seems absolutely effortless. Ahsan Khan looked good too. The only two I'm not keen on are the main stars, Sarwat and Adeel! I prefer Mehreen's Pakistani productions. The ones shot in US all have sort of the same feel. Let's see how it pans out.

I think are doing a pretty good job. Sarwat looks amazing. Can't say the same for Adeel. I just liked him in Daam.
Sanam Saeed does theatre too so i think that really helped her. I haven't read the whole story but i think Sarwat Gilani will go to Pakistan and live there so i am guessing that Daam "feel" will be back? :p
We have death no. 1 in the second episode....wonder what the body count is going to be for the rest. Humsafar had 3, half the cast was dead by the time it ended.
