Flash backs. They are showing the events that took place before Haniya came to Pakistan. How Abbi died, how Haniya reacted, how his parents reacted and how eventually she came to Pakistan.

I am really confused…

So wait, how did the scenes go from Javaid Sheikh catching her in Abi’s shirt to all off a sudden a flashback of the conversation between Haniya and Abi in the car? So did Haniya go to Pakistan after Abi had died and had been in denial the entire time? As in, Abi had been dead when she was bonding w/ his parents?

I AM CONFUSED!
