The girl who plays Haniya’s friend Kathy’s role is actually born and raised in the US and I know her. I had no idea she was interested in acting but I did know that she was helping direct the play as an assistant. I guess they liked her and casted her too.

In my opinion she is doing a great job in her first role and is very natural. Her accent is real because she was born and raised in the US but some times her one liners can be a bit annoying Shes a natural tho and playing the role of a college student in the US quite well!
