yah its haram, end of story...i dont think its directly mentioned but better safe than sorry. right? Getting married is the solution if you have this problem according to the Quran...dats y i want to get married quick.. ; )

Actually I have heard that monks who refrain from all kinds of sexual activity end up losing their ability to have sex.So if you don’t use it you might lose it.If you are a very young man you probably should’nt hold it for more than 7 days check this out:

Some people get a habit of it and its not healthy. Though probably the harmful effects are exaggerated and i am yet to meet anyone who has not done it at all. There were a few who claimed they never did it in college and its funny stories how we made them confess.
Now this leads to another question:
How common is the female mas*u*bation. As coomon as in males?

in case u did not know, there is a natural “venting” procedure for the build-up…
so even if u hold it back, by nature the ‘pressure’ shall be relieved…
and happens so even for monks and saints…

I saw some weird comments. "It's beneficial for your health". It has no beneficial, except it can make you weak person. I have glasses. It might not be good for your eyesight. It has no positive signs.
I think it is Haraam. Because what you think when you masturbate, any other things except girls with being naked?
One more thing, I want to know that how many people masturbate. I thought no body masturbates. Like there are rarely some people who do that. Is that all teens masturbate?

Don't forget Quran was revealed in stages. Alcohol wasn't declared haram right from the start, it took stages until it was finally declared utterly forbidden. Sex with slaves or captives was one of the practice of that period before Islam and people took them as free rides, but Islam regulated it by saying that only slaves that your right hand possess. Later on it was also advised to marry those slave women or the ones widowed in war or maal-e-ghaneemat and give their children of the inheritance too. It does not mean that you can go and have sex with your servants today! Wallah alam

Are you challenging Allah’s knowledge on this one? Didn’t HE know that it can make men loose their ability to have sex? If so wudn’t there had been more clear guidelines as to go do it before you loose your masculinity, or like, Oh men! don’t hold it more than 7 days?? :nono4: Do you guys even think twice before posing such question?

Superme, it's a good advice by Light Bearer. When you pray five times a day, you are less likely to take ghusal five times a day and then pray, so definitely that can help. Plus, it's exercising control. How about in the month of Ramadhan, don't ppl control it? Then surely they can control it otherwise. Indeed the power to abstain from sins comes alone from God! So pray to Him.

yes in a sense...if it prevents u from sinning i.e. masturbation/sex..shud get married...the whole point of marriage is to have kids how can u do that without sex?...duh..if ur muslim u shud know.

There has been so much discussion with examples and evidence on why this act is haraam, yet some people are still making comments such as "your point is stupid and false." I agree that discussion and analysis of these sources is a good idea, so we can learn. But statements like "you're wrong. it's not haraam" really doesn't benefit anyone

Statements like "you're wrong, it IS haraam" dont benefit anyone either. My view is, anything that is not declared HARAAM is HALAAL. We can count on god not to forgot and not to talk in riddles. It will be clearly mentioned in Quran if it is haraam or not, but Im too sleepy to check right now.
