Re: Masterbation
deedawar:
In my humble opinion the masturbation is good with the understanding that it would avoid a greater sin or evil work of commiting Zina (adultery)…or …sex out of wedlock.
But few things can be done to prevent the rise in sexual desire if it cannot be fulfilled by permissible act like having ‘sexual act’ with a spouse described as ‘making love’;
1- Eat less or fast.
2- Avoid stimulating sources such as avoiding looking at opposite sex in ‘that’ way, or photos, movies or reading material or novels ‘like that’.
3- get involved into spiritual activities…Pray more and read spiritual material more.
4- Avoid intermignling with members of opposite sex unnecessarily.
5- Avoid going out of town for whatever reason so that one is away from the spouse for a long time! (I personally feel bad for a married couple who is separated for long time just for financial or whatever reaon and even for so called Tableegh…and this requires a separate discussion)
6- Get married ASAP. Men have more control on getting married early situation than girls. And this is a universal phenomenon.
7- For many men and women, when the ‘tension’ is high..it makes next day very light and pleasant if ‘wet dream’ comes and…and waiting for it is quite OK.
8- I think other poster suggesting that it makes a man weaker meant it would make a man with ‘delayed response’ or even ‘early satisfaction/discharge’…but I personally think it is a lesser price to pay than commiting a sin.
Masturbation in my knowledge has no ill-effect on any major physical capabilities of a person, man or woman. In general, men get sleepy after satisfaction and women become more active and alert for some reason after sexual gratification.
There may be many myth circulating however. (This may need another separate discussion)
9-Perhaps certain food items (hot and spicy) may need to be avoided but really not so much substanciated…desire may come with whatever one consumes and has calories/food energy.
So, if nothing works and desire comes…then masturbation may be considered a better option than resorting to commiting sin.
I am willing to change my position if argument(s) to the contrary is/are stronger.
There is **no way **nothing ‘can’t’ work. If an individual actually makes the effort of avoiding it, then it will work.
Masturbation is haraam either way.
See, this is the beauty behind islam. It goes back to reason why you shouldn’t watch movies and such things on TV.
The more you’re exposed to the opposite sex dressed nicely for you, or looking attractive, the more you think about it, the more you will be forced into doing it.
Thats beautiful…EVERY thing HARAAM in islam has A REASON.
There are somethings which are HAraam, that I can’t find reason for, yet Still follow because, ALlah is all knowing, and HE KNOWS BEST.
