Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

it's now or never, after 50 years i highly doubt it
but atleast ladakh should be made as union territory would be good for tourism also jammu part for yatra...

about congress in central it won't make much defference to me and bjp would hardly win single mla or mp seat,i clearly don't want congress in my state they destroyed all development done by chandrababu
totally screwed hyderabad all the new companies are shifting to other indian cities, investment is at all time low, even though my state government produces highest number of mps for the congress for the last two terms
we still don't have any enough ministers in center someone like mamata who would share all the funds to its own state

good thing is congress is doomed in my state, with reddys vote power gone i doubt they will ever come back to power again

I was talking about those who exploit and not about the category you fall in swaetheart

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

Back to the topic… I read that Congress gave some assurance to Baba KhaRak Singh in 1929 which guaranteed that no constitution of independent India would be framed without consent of Sikh population. Is it the reason that Master Tara Singh and other Sikh Leaders rejected offers of Muslim League and others.

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

The best deal was offered by Cabinet mission plan of Abul Kalam Azad, in which every province would have had autonomy which meant that muslim dominated states would have been ruled by muslims, the promise of secular republic was far more worth for Sikhs than a country which is going to be formed in the name of Islam:)

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

But why they refused an offer by British for an Independent separate Sikh state from from Panipat to Nanakana Sahib with extended excess upto the seashore?

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

because just like Jinnah, Tara Singh never represnted entire sikh community, only one faction of sikhs might have agreed to it, many important shrines like Hemkund Sahib, Patna Sahib, Nanded Sahib etc would have gone to India, Even Akalis boasted in past that they represent entire Sikh population, but in truth, they only represent Jat, their attitude is so much biased towards farmers, mostly Jat, that trading communities like Khatri and Aroras and others like Nirankari, would have ever supported him and this would have led into muslim way, one third living in India and rest in seprate state which would have further weakened the community like it happened in the case of muslims:)

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

Would not these shrines fell in the territory offered by British i.e. from Panipatt to Nankana Sahib?

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

Hemkund is in hindu populated Uttrakhand, Nanded in in Ninja’s Maharashtra, Patna is capital of Bihar, and even though we opted India it didn’t turn out bad decision IMHO, we hold all top post, PM, Planning comission head, the army general, CMs in two states being less than two percent of India’s population, in short we are number one minority:k:

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

I like your generosity for giving Maharashtra to ninja :)

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

But don’t you think that Sikh population had to pay a lot to reach such status?

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

And this competition makes them world class, the general of Independent state might have been like general of Bangladeh, not general of Indian army, then G-20 wouldn't have looked for Prime minister manmohan singh, now in India, PM is Sikh, genral is sikh, most powerful person is catholic, sonia, only president, for name sake is hindu:D, even vice president is muslim:D, I even feel being in RBI is far better than being in reserve bank of khalistan, whose operation would have been less than 25 district:D, so once anyone in India is reaches top, he/she gains far more power than a little independent state unless that turn out to be Japan or israel

Re: Master Tara Singh and Division of Punjab

It is entirly ninja’s state, he owns every share of Maharashta, its his mother land, like mine is dilli:k:
