This is the situation that PPP’s MNA (a Hazara) from Quetta has left Pakistan to save his life.Hamid Mir @hamidMirGEO
@MsaleemJaved](https://twitter.com/#!/mSaleemJaved) PPP’s Hazara MNA from Quetta Syed Nasir Ali Shah left Pakistan for saving his life. Its a shame for the PPP’S CM of Balochistan
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
Another Hazara killed today becoming quite predictable and a daily routine. The terrorists are trying to push the Hazaras in the lap of Baloch separatists, and hardly a service for the country.
http://dawn.com/2012/04/16/hazara-killings/
YET another series of attacks against the Shia Hazara community in Balochistan over the weekend has raised fresh questions about the state’s inability or, as some quarters darkly suggest, unwillingness to take on the sectarian killers in the province headlined by the Lashkar-i-Jhangvi Balochistan. To be sure, with only a small number of hardcore militants believed to be involved, stopping them will not be easy. But there are disturbing signs that the killings are yet to shake the political and security apparatus in Balochistan out of its stupor. Even more problematically, members of the provincial government are being accused by the Hazara community of either providing sanctuary to the killers or of turning a blind eye to their presence in certain areas.
What is clear is that Balochistan has a growing problem of radicalisation.** A network of madressahs and mosques has mushroomed in Baloch areas like the districts of Mastung, Khuzdar, Noshki and Kalat. With little to no oversight of their operations, the network has injected into parts of the Baloch population a growing intolerance along sectarian, i.e. Sunni-Shia, lines. Add to that mixture the recruiting of LJ type militant outfits and a relatively small problem can snowball. In Balochistan, the surge in targeting the Hazara community this year and particularly in the last few weeks is not well understood. It could be that a ‘deadline’ for the Hazaras to leave Quetta, for example, set by the militants has expired. Or with the space for sectarian attacks in other parts of the country somewhat reduced, the Hazaras in lawless Balochistan are an easier target.**
Whatever the reasons for the surge in killings and attacks, the matter seems to be beyond the control of regular law-enforcement agencies. Police in Quetta are themselves targets of sectarian killers and do not have the resources to fight back or defend themselves. And if the police’s political bosses in the provincial government are disinclined to take on the sectarian militants, there’s little the police can do anyway. Which leaves the intelligence apparatus. The LJ in Balochistan is precisely the kind of entity that intelligence agencies are meant to track and help dismantle. The damaging war against Baloch separatists being led by the intelligence agencies is real enough but it’s not reason enough to preclude other actions by those agencies. But what if the agencies see strategic reasons to leave some groups untouched? The Hazaras of Balochistan are truly caught between a rock and a hard place.
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
from where do these guys get their fundings?
Last time I read ... CM of Balochistan had said we will soon launch an operation against these terrorists, but I think those were just khaali kholi promises!
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
And the massacre continues, not a single terrorist has been nabbed so far.
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
blood is still being spilled everyday, so far 400 innocent people have been killed in sectarian killings in Balochistan!
sitution is so alarming, yet no action has been taken so far! wht is the govt waiting for, they want Hazaras to look towards intl community for help?

**Pakistanis rally to express outrage against Shia massacres
PressTV - Pakistanis rally to express outrage against Shia massacres
**Leaders of Shia community in Pakistan have gathered in Lahore to protest against the targeted killings of Shia Muslims in various parts of the violence-hit country, Press TV reports.
Hosting a huge gathering in the eastern city of Lahore in Punjab, Shia leaders called on the people to unite and show their strength as one strong unit against the miscreants.
According to the leaders, the US is working towards inflaming sectarian violence and destabilizing the country.
**
“We [Shia Muslims] are the people who want a strong Pakistan, who have in the past in the country stood with the people of Pakistan against the West. That is the only reason why the US wants to spread sectarian violence to create internal conflicts. But we will never allow that to happen,” Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, the secretary general of the Shia community told Press TV.
**The leaders also emphasized on the unity amongst Muslims and urged the people to stand together as one force.
Along with the gathering, hundreds of people rallied in the city, denouncing the killing of Shia Muslims across the country and demanding justice.
Militants have targeted Shia Muslim gatherings in different parts of Pakistan over the past three years.
Hundreds of Shia Muslims have also been killed in various parts of the violence-hit country over the past few months.
Meanwhile, Pakistani Shia leaders have called on the government to form a judicial commission to investigate the crime.
The recent surge in attacks against Pakistani Shia civilians has caused international outrage, with many rights groups and regional countries, including Iran, condemning the attacks and expressing deep concern over attempts to target unarmed Shia civilians.
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
massacre continues, more than 20 killed in a bomb blast in hazara town. A brief respite for the poor souls.
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
47 dead. Most of them women and children. :(
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
Just saw this photo from the aftermath. Heartbreaking.
Restored attachments:
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
The state has completely failed to protect the Hazaras. During the past two months more than 200 have been killed.
In the today’s blast, the scale of destruction is huge and the casualties can rise (over 60 have been killed and scores injured as per Hazaras). On both sides of the entrances there are FC check posts, but still the blast has taken place.
The extent of damage this bomb has done can be viewed here.

Re: Massacre of Hazaras
i have said many times....Pakistan has become dar-ul-harb for shias and all other minorities ... whoever can afford must migrate from this country.
Those who cannot afford, shd either pick up weapons or sit tight until they get killed
and I dont mean to be philosopher or anything but lets take a step back... why did we demand Pakistan? 2-nation theory.....right? we said that we could not live with hindus and sikhs as we did not feel that our rights will be protected as minorities
but from our own behavior we have shown rest of the world that 2 nation theory was bogus... in a country that was created on the name of minorities, we FAILED to protect our own minorities for even one day.....ironic...............................
moreover we have shown that muslims of subcontinent are not capable to live peacefully with anyone and they need to fight...in united india, they wanted to kill and get killed by hindus and sikhs...after partition, we killed bangalis....after getting rid of them, we got into sectarian wars....after shias and qadyanis, we will find a new battleground...
Another day
Another 50 dead in Quetta. this govt and illiterates that vote them in power are to blame for non existent law and order.
Mqm, ppp, pml-n are corrupt to core else this mess would be cleaned up by now. Perhaps its time to reflect what to do with illiterate voters that simply dont get it and will never get it.

....after shias and qadyanis, we will find a new battleground...
Braelvies!
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
nothing more tragic than the sight of our shia brethren sitting with their dead bodies. Agencies are either incompetent or looking the other way. Absolute and utter failure.
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
I hope there are gods and they really do justice. Hopefully the slain innocent will find some justice there.
Not the first time i heard shias getting killed in scores, but never heard any arrest and prosecution. My heart goes out to them, rest in peace brothers.
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
One sided story. True journalism looks at both sides of the coin. Many Sunnis have also been killed in Quetta in recent months, most likely by Shias. So it is a two-way traffic.
Is it still a two way traffic?
Re: Massacre of Hazaras
Is the Pakistani Army going to anything against these terrorist groups LeJ and LeT?
Or turn a blind eye to them because they are involved in the jihad against India?
