an 18 year old with dual citizenship of Iranian and Germany carried out the attacks. he is thought to have acted alone and his motives are unknown at this time. his body was found less than a km away from the scene of carnage. he shot himself.

Self inflicted gunshot doesnt seem like your typical muslim extremist MO... Someone motivated by religious extremism of the ISIS type would have tried to escape and kill another day.
