hahaha…yes, i remember in my childhood in my village these guys used to come around calling “sil abTTaa Thukwaa loooo” and i was the one to carry that heavy sil [silauTii] to outside the house…it was heavy hehe…

You did not get me. I am not calling those persons unhealthy. You know every year those rough surfaces become smooth and you need to get them nail and rough again. It means you are getting some stones in your food over the years. Same goes for Havan dasta!

I cant believe that in machine age , when we have such a huge choice of blenders and grinders , the ancient manual spice “kootnay” wala little pot and danda still exist …

I see that in most indian households .. they feel the masala doesnt taste the same if its grinded in a machine and so they use the manual kootna process …

you reckon it makes a difference?

Have you ever cooked hand chopped Qeema? Vs the Machine chopped one? There is huge difference in taste!
