Before marriage everyone thinks and looks for people within certain parameters but once your married it is all different. For example you could be a Punjabi and end up marrying a Sindhi for god knows. However yes, I agree with Hareem baji that mingling with your own people is far more comfortable but does not mean there will be less problems. Sometimes there could be more problems if you married a Punjabi instead of Sindhi for example.
