What are your opinions about marrying a Gori? If you were given an opportunity to make a selection between Gori and Pakistani then whom would you go with? and who u think can be a better wife:hmmm:

Who said it was a competition? It has nothing to do with desi girls being ugly - By the way, I don't know of too many goris married to pakistani guys who threw them out of the house - but then again, I've only been with mine for 15 years - give me 3 or 4 more and I might think about it:D
Did it ever occur to you that it really shouldn't matter what nationality someone is to marry, or did you miss that in Islamiyyat studies?

oo so u married to a gori welll one paksitani guy got married to a gori and he had a son with her and gori divorce him taking 50 percent of his property off him andd this otehr man in my far family got married to a gori and all her kids tht grew up were english type of people they didnt knew anyhting about
islam and they went to get amrried to some gorri and jewish peopel so tht
men regrets and cry i wish i would have married a appne desi girls atlest my kids would have knew about islam and our culture

Not all gori/desi marriages end in disaster, thats just silly to assume. Likewise, gori/desi parents living in the west surely can educate their children about their culture and religion.

Actually, I am a gori. Well, I can tell you stories of desi girls taking 50% of their husband's property in a divorce, ruining the guy's family financially, and keeping the kids from him. Actually, they don't really know anything about Islam either. Stupidity and ignorance knows no bounds - it exists in every culture. Obviously racism does too. What happened to you - did the guy you were supposed to marry throw you over for a gori?

And how many do you know? Just curious where this figure came from, because I know many, and all but four of the couples are working out just fine, alhamdulillah, which would put the success rate at around 80%.

and as i said 80 percenatge of them arent good so i am not saying u are in tht 80 percetage but mostly arent good and no my boyfriend dont like gori coz they just change bfs like they change clothes soo ( but some of them are like tht)

If I don't sound like a gori, then maybe it's because you don't know many goris. Yes, I respect my husband, his family, and culture, and I am a muslim, but he also respects mine. You don't know many on a personal level, so obviously you can't say that 80% are bad.
In my experience, and I have definitely been around awhile longer than I care to admit, the gori wives go out of our way to be accomodating to our husband's culture and family. It's the desis who tend to be intolerant of us, our cultures, and our families. I am constantly told that I need to act "more Pakistani" and that I should only cook desi food and wear salwar kameez. I do cook desi food about half the time, and wear salwar kameez when I feel like it. Both cultures have good and bad points, and one shouldn't come at the expense of the other, that's the beauty of a mixed marriage.
By the way, you're out promoting shareef desi girls to the desi guys on the forum, yet you have a boyfriend? How "pakistani" is that?

Ideally I would want to marry a Pakistani girl....but I have been thinking. Nowadays many Pakistanis girls are also very westernised and have western attitiudes in that case there is no incentive to marry a Pakistani girl....you might as well ignore the fact that she is Pakistani and just chose the best girl irrespective of backround and just marry her.

It really depends on the individual person whom you marry. In General Gori is better Pakistani girls are rather too proud if they are beautiful and too jelous if they are not so beautiful (Beaty to us is i guess the color white where as Gori doesnt think she is beautiful just because she is gori)

Unless shes a muslim I wouldn't even consider it. Even then I'd be extremely hesitant. I find their culture and values very different to ours.

yep ammna i do have a bf and my parent know about him and both of our family have agreed on our marriage and we getting married soon inshallah why wot is bad having a bf when u know u are gonna marrying him?
