OK so I got a phone call from an unmarried friend back in India telling me that she is registered on a matrimonial website and while she was doing her “searches” she came across a listing for her married cousin brother. She knows it is him for sure from not just the description but geographic location mentioned and some other details.
So, is she to confront this person or let it be?

let it be!
unless your seeking drama why involve yourself in somebody elses affairs
Re: Married people posting in matrimonials
I would confront it…if he is married why is he advertising himself on there..I would be majorly peeved with him
I normally ignore stuff…but players, even if they are my own best-friends, I will confront!

I wouldn’t have an out and out confrontation with him BUT I might send him a message linking his ad to him…letting him know that he isn’t being very smart.

If its my cousin, then I would ask him/her the reason.
Re: Married people posting in matrimonials
Confrontation wouldn’t make them stop/NOT repeat the offence.
She should try to hook up with him just to make sure its him
He.does.not care.about the wife. He wants his.cake and wants to eat it too…

^^ Well, they are non-Muslim.
Anyway. There is always a slight chance she is mistaken. Or, she it was an old profile. I did check about the old profile bit with her but she said that the posting is fairly recent..I guess there’s a way to tell.
Re: Married people posting in matrimonials
Best check when he was last active..
I would prob confront.. mainly cos I wonder what if I (or a sister or cousin) was on the receiving end..

I was gonna say maybe he is looking for a second wife but if he is non-Muslim that’s weird.
Someone I know recently got married and is on a matrimonial site as well…and this is a Muslim girl.
Weird.

And what exactly is he trying to achieve by posting on that matrimonial website? Does it give him a kick or something?

Is this a case of single desi voyerism? Many matrimonial sites are restricted to non-members …
