My friend migrated to Canada few years ago. He worked on a low level job here but was qualified as an accountant (middle of CA)...very honest and decent person. When his family found he had saved approx $30,000 they started pushing him to get married in Pakistan. he came here spent approx $18,000 on his marriage took the girl back to Toronto. First six months were OK, then the girl showed up her real color. she asked for divorce. started fighting every day. my friend compromised. tried to adjust....they had a daughter meanwhile...somehow after living 3 years together now both are separated (not divorced in papers) because he thinks she will get 50% of his savings....kids are with mother as she gets $$$ monthly from welfare.
My friend is now listed in Matrimonial sites and keeps chatting with girls in hope to find a suitable match, though he is still married.....what do you think ? Should he do or not ?

from what you have posted it sounds like he is not completing the divorce paperwork because he wants to save his money.
and btw.....is he not supporting his children? why does the woman get welfare?

They decided to live separately after he pronounced divorce three times. Canada doesn't recognize Islamic procedure of divorce. So, they are still married in view of the Govt. He goes to see his children often, but mother claims funds from welfare.

^ ofcourse canada or any other non muslim nation will not accept a verbal divorce as legal. he has to go through the proper procedures and end his marriage before he starts another relationship because that may hurt him more during court proceedings and his current wife can use it in may ways against him. he needs to be sensible since he has children involved, as well as before he drags another person in the messy situation. plus, hes going to have to pay child support no matter what, so theres no way around her getting money from.

Give him the benefit of doubt first. Maybe he forgot to pull his profile after marriage. The time of last activity can be checked to see if this is the case.

I would feel sympathy for his wife and e-mail her with a fake account with info. On her husband's activities. Let her deal with him!
