Dude... you sound like the male version of me! LOL... Except I'd probably throw the biggest effing hissy fit if I had to marry a fob guy (even though my fiance came to Canada when he was 15 but still). She seems nice enough and eager to change/assimilate, it can't be that bad... especially since you'll be living sans in laws. I do agree that she's been waiting 7 years for you and if you back out now that's pretty bad but you have no reason too if your biggest concern is assimilation and what not.
FYI - my dad went to university in Canada and has an undergrad in Comp Sci and paid for my, my sister's and brother's schooling without loans and debt - so yeah it can be done.

On topic though; she stuck around for a long time. If u guys had just had met I would tell u to REALLY THINK ABOUT IT. But youre getting married soon amd she has waited. she deserves your absolute best. Its not about trying to make it work, go into it with a "i will make this work" mindset. Oh and maybe stop thinking of her as a "fob" girl. I am sure she would not be a fan of that label.

Yes but Canadian tuition is not the same as Ivy League tuition. The Canadian government subsidizes all university education, like state schools in the US.

A pind doesn’t have to be a mess. Pinds have people and people need these things. Skip Public Transportation, because that doesn’t make sense in a sparsely populated area, but aside from that I’m not asking for a lot.

I think ur assuming a great deal. Of corse moving countries and ESP leaving ur family behind is not easy, but can be made better with the love, attention, support and encouragement of a woman's husband. So basically how she settles in is all down to you. Enjoy each others companionship, don't think so negatively. If u really don't want to marry her then tell her ASAP, don't ruin her life if all u think of her is just a complication in ur life.
