sweet story but not to sound judgemental, you father being president of MUSLIM ASSOCIATION and his father being heavily involved in ICNA… then them two DATING for 7 years… sort of does not make sense. Doesn’t that sound contradictory just saying?
^Dating has a very different meaning in US in comparison to the concept we have in UK or Pakistan. In US, two people meeting in a public place for a chat is considered dating.

Dating for me has a very different meaning than for you. Lets just say because of her 'dating', she became a better Muslim and even started hijab and 4 years later passed this wise choice on to me. Much of the credit for my own hijab goes to my sister and BIL when they were not married.
I went pakistan with younger bro and sis to visit my nanni/nanna and at the same time
some family friends were going for their son’s wedding so we decided to go together
My now hubby was a relative and i first met him at my grandparent’s house and since then there was a spark
they asked for rishta and i said yes and pursuaded my mum
I was only 16 and we had our nikkah(rukhsati at 18) before i had to come back
11 years later we have mA 3 gawjus boys
