I have just recently cum bck from pakistan and the country is absoulately georgeous i went after a very long time and b4 then i couldnt even remember it!!
anyway my cousins were abit on the dodgy side but i wont go into all dat now,whilst i was there ohh im single by the way … i had soo many marriage proposals from almost everyone in our village .., some of the girls there were so much better luking than me but i got all the proposals STRANGE! i was talking to my sis about it and she was saying it coz u have a british passport dats the main reason they just want to cum over here! i find all dat abit strange they didnt even know me and yet were willling to get married to me just for the sake of cuming to England, has anyone else experienced this!
This one guy was staying with us related to us in some way or another i thought of him as one of my brothers and even he turned around and told me he liked me and wanted to get married,apart from being really embrassed and couldnt believe wot i was hearing i mean i live in England and still couldnt approach anyone like he did to me i didnt know whether to cry or laugh!!!

i have 2 sisters older than me …
the oldest one had a lot of rishtas n she doens’t have a passport..she has a student visa…my other sister has a passport n me too…
so whenever a rishta came for her , ppl would go for my other sister coz shes a citizen…
its pathetic…
now my sister is like ‘u know wat…i’ll marry when i find a guy for my self by my self…to hell with them’ n i dont really blame her..

Thas cause guys are more accepting to marrying girls in Pakistan than the other way round.
Do they stay married after they get to the US/UK? I've heard of several marriages ending -- one spouse abandons the other once s/he becomes a legal resident.
Maddy -- maybe that's why it seems worse if a guy does it to a girl? the stigma of being divorced is much worse for girls, it seems.
Guys from pinds don’t realize that they would need more than a passport and a wife to survive. Do you girls even tell the potential candidates what life is like in the west?
^ i do.. i make sure they know its not easy and give them several examples of phd students driving taxis..
these guys who propose have never worked a day in their life, nor hardly studied and they think that by marrying a passport, they can achieve all these goals.. yeh right
