Well there were these 8 very religious guys who were arrested for raping a gori in Austria and thousands of other religious guys who assaulted women in Cologne I am not sure where their direction went? Most of the extremists use religion to do heinous crimes against humanity so I am not sure we can substantiate that religion gives direction. Many non religious people have a lot of direction and a lot of morality.

Obviously they weren’t religious at all if they could violate another human being like that. Just because people say they are religious doesn’t mean they are. No-one is arguing that non religious people don’t have direction or any sense of morality but you can’t compare non religious people to obvious criminals who are most obviously not following their religion. All religions teach peace and love and Harmony. And if a “religious” person violates those teachings they are not religious at all.
