Marriage of Individuals with Challenges in the Desi Community

Re: Marriage of Individuals with Challenges in the Desi Community

Obviously they weren’t religious at all if they could violate another human being like that. Just because people say they are religious doesn’t mean they are. No-one is arguing that non religious people don’t have direction or any sense of morality but you can’t compare non religious people to obvious criminals who are most obviously not following their religion. All religions teach peace and love and Harmony. And if a “religious” person violates those teachings they are not religious at all.

I don’t know about the peace part, many priests molested children for centuries, millions of women were burnt as witches in the name of religion and the most heinous crimes against humanity have been done in the name of religion. In fact after adopting secular values Europe became an immensely more humane place to live.

That’s your opinion. Peace.

My cousin had polio when she was a child and limps when she walks. She came to the US in the late 80’s and married someone outside of the family (The guy was in the US as well) in the early 90’s. Mashallah they are both happy and strong after all these years. They as a couple have been my ideal couple.
