Some interesting quotes from Marri. Wonder how Balochs developed such “love” for Punjabis? Surely must be a misunderstanding. I also wonder when we will have the surrender ceremony from PML-N led Punjab with BLA…they seem to be good at this thing.

QUETTA: Nawab Khair Baksh Marri has said he would be willing to represent only the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), and not other Baloch forces, in talks with the government.

Daily Times recently asked Nawab Marri if he would agree to talk to the government if nominated by all Baloch forces, including the BLA, as their chief negotiator. Marri answered by pointing his thumbs down.

But he added that if the BLA asked him to talk to Islamabad, as an elder of the Baloch nation, he would present his terms and conditions: the Punjabis must vacate Balochistan.

“The other issues are all domestic and could be discussed later on … I can co-exist with a pig but not with a Punjabi,” he said at his Karachi residence.
(I love the fact that all Baloch leaders have a home in Karachi)

When Marri was asked how he would respond to the impression that he was the real force behind Balochistan’s armed movement, he retorted with loud laughter: “Why are you asking me to confess my guilt at this old age? If I were younger, I would not be giving you an interview. I have always said that the real fighters are the ones who are doing it with weapons. I wish I were younger so that I could go straight to the hills and fight for the Baloch cause.”

He said he was “pleased” with the BLA and did not regard Mengal’s Balochistan National Party (BNP) as a nationalist force as it did not factor in the Baloch of Iran and Afghanistan.

“The BNP does not have a majority on the mountains. God knows, it is not the BNP giving arms, shoes, support and money to those fighting in the mountains,” Marri said.

All Punjabis out of Balochistan you mean? I think that's a little extreme personally. I mean, how would have Ifti gotten to where he is today if he hadn't abused Balochistan to get to the top?

After targeting 'terrorist' Pakhtuns, I am not surprised to see you target Punjabis now.

Isn't it ironic that Pakistan has always been a state propelled by Punjabi + Urdu Speaking elites, yet you continue to play the shameless ethnic card.

The BLA issue is more linked to the denial of Baluch rights and the treatment of the province as a colony by the Pakistani state. I think every ethnic group of Pakistan is responsible keeping Baluchis down.

Incidentally, any Baluchis here? I am would not be surprised if we don't find any.

I didn't write the article and the BLA issue is as much a Baloch rights issue as it is a fight for feudal control.

Boo hoo stop crying after I called you out for your racism. You did post this article to incite hate and spread provincial disharmony. In fact, 80% of posts here are towards that goal.

Read up any World Bank/IMF report on Pakistan in relation to Baluchistan to understand the economic injustices towards that province.

And 100% of your posts are so fake, that I'd be surprised that you even believe what you write. Anyway, I don't need to read any World Bank/IMF report to know how Punjabis and Pashtuns mistreat and subjugate Balochs.

I have been reading gupshup posts for many months now and I am really surprised that people like Kehkeshan go scot-free despite posting many anti-Pakistan posts. He seems to be anti-Pakhtun, anti-Punjabi to me. Little does he know that Quaid formed Pakistan for everyone but he named it P.A.K.istan after three of its most important inhabitants- "P" for Punjabis, "A" for Afghans and "K" for Kashmiris- 3 people who sacrificed most for Pakistan.

And Balochs, Mohajirs, and Sindhis get the benefit of being colonized under this banner. Anti Pakistan are those who have abused this country to subjugate the minorities, not the ones who speak up against the injustices. And I didn't write the article, neither did I say the words in the article.

I don't know man, no. of balochs living in panjab is much higher then no. of panjabis living in Balochistan.

Technically they live in South Punjab mostly, which is only Punjab by name considering how it gets ignored. But the main difference is their status and reasons for being where they are. Though I don't agree with Marri's original statement, it's obvious why he made it.

What these BLA people are up to, one has to visit Hub Industrial Area only. These so called balocuh leaders want their own people either beg for their livings or do badmashi in the name of their rights.

It will please you to know that if you visit a balochi forum they have many very "good" things to say about BOTH Punjabis and muhajirs.
Go read it and you will know Punjabis are certainly there target but so are the urdu speaking. Only thing is Punjabis get primacy due to numbers.
Secondly, Sindhis say the same thing about muhajirs and Karachi (i.e. get out of our province)

No that IS NOT what I am suggesting.
I am saying that our good friend who is a known Altaf supporter is gleefully publicizing Marri's statement that he wants Punjabis to leave Balochistan.
In response I am telling him that more than a few groups (including Balochis) but especially Sindhis say the same to muhajirs about Karachi - so he should be careful when he decides to publicize intolerance. That knife cuts both ways.
But I wouldn't expect any differently from an MQM walla.
