Hi guys, what do u think of these two styles. From Maria B’s current collection. I saw them at her boutique in UK, but prices for both were over 2k here! So im thinking i could haggle in pakistan, possibly up to half, given my friend haggled hers from 3500lakh to 1500lakh when she was at her boutique in lahore. I just liked the two styles…pink/purple for barat and light pink for walima? Just getting some ideas…the pink/purple is a gharara, with lots of layers at the bottom, so it looks floaty…but u can get the same in a lengha style i was told cus im not keen on gharara!. u can’t see the bottom here.

The top one, you can get that made as a lengha as well as get heavier kaam on the bottom, so that it can look "bridal." ANd I"m sure when you go to Lahroe and go shopping you can find something just like that for a lot cheaper!

Thanks, the pink/purple one has alot of kaam on the bottom, which isnt shown on the picture, it was quite heavy. Mariab also does it in a lengha......but my mum saying designs like this are all over liberty so i will find something like this!
hey I wouldn't buy either as a wedding outfit.. I don't like Maria B for Bridal wear, her party wear is nice tho..
I think you should go to pakistan and check out the boutiques there.. one thing is you can't haggle the prices with HSY and others, after all they are the designers and your paying for the name and quality.
Plus you can find designs like this for a much lesser price :D
thanks, everyone has their own choice. my friend's father managed to haggle with maria b for her bridal lengha......despite being designers they do have a mark up for their own profits. i saw these in the uk but i am buying my dresses from pakistan ( as stated in my first thread) .............these two styles were just something i liked. but i do plan on going to all the boutiques anyway to see whats out there......but whatever i do buy will be something i like.........maria b or not..........lol
you can SO get these made for way way WAYYYY less and with better kaam if you go to pakistan. i mean, theres nothing super special about her kaam or her material here so i think this is a case of inflating prices to make the brand seem special. shop around in pakistan- you WILL find something equal to or much better than this for less money.
i heard maria b is expensive and has the name but they do no have the quality that they are supposed for the money that they charge.....and they don't do such a neat job.....i heard zardosi does a better job.
I think the second is very beautiful and elegant.
And I think personally that no one can do exact same design anywhere in pakistan like a designer its very difficult and thats my opinion.
And I must say that there are many lehengas in liberty market.
They are beautiful but not so unique and absolutely not better then Maria B or Nickie Nina and im saying by experience.
Mashallah both are really amazingly gorgeous. My walima lengha was from Maria B and it was the same colour - it was called "The Princess Dress". Dont buy it from here - def Pakistan.
She is an amazing designer and i would def go with her stuff!
2 is pretty. i wouldnt pay 2k for either of the two. you should be able to get dresses like these designed for not more than 500 (using good quality cloth and quality workmanship).

Im not planning on gettin a lengha made or copied....just going to get ready made one as i dont have the time. The light pink one is retailed here for £1800. I must say the fuscia pink one isnt done any justice in the picture, it has all kaam on the bottom, which is not in the picture. Im not fussed about where my lengha is from (designer or not)..........as long as i love it......thats what matters...............cheap or not. I mean I work hard so Im not bothered on price! I feeli deserve it! LOL
