Well its interesting to read all the above views, really there are a hybrid of issues at play... first of all let me say I truly salute an Pakistani Pashtun who can be proud of both ethnicity and country. I think we need to work to improve the state of ethnic\secular relations in Pakistan. We should also remember that positive and constructive criticism of the state is not at all a bad thing. In fact its critical for improvement.
A question for Pakistani Pashtuns (not the Afghan Nationalist variety) - Do you view the general non-Pashtun Pakistani distate for Afghans as a personal insult? I sense that may be the case.
If so, go view some afghan message boards and see what they have to say for desi muslims. I'm sure with a quick glance you can see the immense gulf in civility between what you read here and the disgusting vitriol on most of those sites. In fact the kind of stuff I've read on their message boards are a clear indication of why Afghanistan is such a completely failed society in every aspect of life - from economics to communal cohabitation ->a complete disaster.

Yes, "Mutalia Pakistan", the ultimate book of wisdom and knowledge written/"fabricated" all by the "intellectual/adventurous elite" that immigrated from UP and Bihar, can help us, Pashtuns, get out of "Jahalat"!

And Pakistani education system and sources of knowledge/information, foremost subscription to Ideology of Pakistan, can make me as enlightened and rational as Mr. Anil and other Muhajir and Punjabi friends here are! Good joke!

What bullcrap. A large chink of your army has been Pathan, we've had pakhtoons rule as democratic leaders and military dictators for the majority of our history. The biggest cricket hero ever for Pak is a pathan. FATA is lawless as it always was, they don't allow anyone in and neither do they pay our bills, so there is NOWAY development can ever get there, the people DONT want it -- yeah, the tribal, warring pathans living next door to Junglistan in that tribal region don't want their tribal areas to be developed. Talking about language, Urdu is the spoken/written medium throughout most of Pakistan and was the language which powered the movement which made this nation. And by the way, Chapal Kababs are almost the official cuisine of Pak now, they're just everywhere. Go around Islamabad and there are so many pathan influences, all these ethnicities have only enriched our culture, from music, food, language the arts to everything else. What more could anyone ask for? :S

Did you read my post? What does any of the information you have posted have to do with what I have stated? I do not believe that I discussed the urdu language, previous leaderships, cricket or chapli Kebabs in any of my posts. What exactly are you replying to? TODAY we do have a Muhajir/Punjabi dictatorship! All cultures of Pakistan have whole heartedly contributed to Pakistan, thank you so much for clarifying that! I am discussing insurgencies and the lack of rights that different ethnicities in Pakistan have.

Anyway, thank you for your intellectual input.
