Manual or Automatic?

Personally as a Mechanic i would have to say Manual. Has anyone tried to repair an Automatic gearbox?

Purely for ease it would have to be a manual. Automatic drives easier(that’s why women like need em) but when it brakes down then you cannot exactly fix it easily.

**A manual gearbox is far less likely to cause trouble in the first place and is relatively easy to sort out if you know what your doing.

In case anyones asking, my first car was a Vauxhall Chevette.
That was a manual. I’ve only ever driven a Mitsubishi Shogun and a Toyota hi-lux that were Auto. I currently have a Toyota Corrola and a Ford Capri. I have also got an old Opel Manta classic car, and a honda 750 nighthawk motorbike.

I ride bikes and drive cars/trucks so i can say with confidence that i prefer Manual.

My gearstick popped out of its socket once (stupid parking attendant at Selfridges) but it was fixed by just pushing it back in lol
