Did you see? Manto’s all-star cast revealed in characterPakistani cinema is having a more prolific period than usual of late, as films jostle for space in the coveted holiday season. As we wait for Dekh Magar Pyaar Se, Moor and Shah to hit the big screens, confirmation of a future film makes its way to us.
The much awaited Manto biopic, directed by and starring Sarmad Khoosat, is locked for a 2015 release, and is likely to grace screens in September this year.

Goes without saying Saba Qamar will steal the show as Noor Jahan. Only she could have played such an epic role!

Manto mein baaki "top stars" hain unka ziada tar role cameo type hai i koi epic role kissi kay pass nahi hai jaisa saba ko mila hai it is very challenging to play malika e tarranum. Ye kehney mein koi muzahika nahi hai ke Sarmad nay sab actresses mein sirf saba ko is role ke liye chunna kyunke Saba is the only actress with a diverse range.
Hopefully Ms Saba Qamar won't be wearing those ugly acrylic nails. I get so amused every time she has them on even when playing characters like digest writer

I can bet you a bottom dollar that she is going to play Noor Jahan the same why she played roles in Digest Writer, Bunty ILY, Maat etc etc.
I’ve read almost all his work. honestly, I wasn’t impressed by his short stories at all. It’s his sketches(ganjay farishtey) of famous actors which is his best work and a must read. he didn’t mince any words and many of his friends turned foe as he didn’t spare anyone. it gives a real insight in the film world of that time. here’s a link incase anyone is interested. No, that's not true though it seems you know her personally :)) . I can only comment on her acting. The roles she played in Dastaan and Thakkan were diametrically opposite to her roles in BILU or Maat. In Dastaan she was not even the main lead but stole the show in every scene she appeared. She moulded her mannerism , way of walking , talking everything to bring the character to life. When Saba acts it doesn't seem like acting. Thats the main difference that sets apart a great artist from others.

triple like! agree with you a 100% saba qamar is insufferable for all the reasons you've mentioned. She has a major god complex and thinks she's better than everyone.
I am so sick of her "I am a sayeed (aka i am better than you), hence my very strict family (who is better than yours) wouldn't let me join the industry( because i am better than all the industry girls)" spiel. Someone needs to give her a reality check already. She is crass, comes across as jaahil, and is nothing to rave about.
unfortunately all the shakeelaz, rukhsaanaz on facebook are usually wagging their tongues around her and making her even worse than she already is
