Manners

How consistent are you with your manners?

For instance:

Do you watch your language usage, tone etc while talking to others? Do you use profanity, and when?

Can you stay calm and well-mannered under all sort of situations?

Do you swear at people?

Do you consider yourself to be well-mannered? If yes, why?

What is your definition of a well-mannered/ill-mannered person?

To make the topic more general: and what about eating manners etc?

Re: Manners

What is the passing mark for this exam?

Re: Manners

No profanity, no swearing, whatever be the circumstance.
But I’ve a problem with tone management. That kinda spoils everything :hinna:

Re: Manners

Nothing, tussi pass hi pass ho.

Was just interesting in knowing how people look at it and judge it.

Re: Manners

Kabhi dil mein bhi nai gaali detein?

Re: Manners

:hehe:

Pretty consistent with the manners I would say, especially around kids and elders. They pick up everything and anything. I’ve no problem with my tone or language usage, I’ve a problem with laughing. Sometimes I laugh at the most awkward situations and that leaves people a bit baffled and I think it goes under bad manners as well :frowning: … I don’t do it on purpose though. I don’t use profanity as such but saying WTF is not profanity in my book .. actually F is used so much, I’m immune to it. One of my friends can’t take the word at all, she gets all worked up. :hinna:

No I can’t stay calm and well mannered under all situations but I try my best. You would have to do a lot before I blow up on you unless I’m married to you or share genes :hehe:

I don’t swear… or do I? hehe you’ll never know - the best galis are in punjabi, rest of the languages can’t match that league haha

I consider myself well mannered.

I’m polite. I don’t raise my voice, ever. I watch my tone.

I think I’m pretty respectful towards everyone - ab azmana mat :cb:

Re: Manners

I have typed ‘wtf’ a few times, but don’t speak it out loudly. I hate saying it. Don’t have a problem with punjabi gaalis though  But not infront of kids and elders and not the maa behn type. And not without reason (not that it is justified).

One thing I really cannot stand is when girls call adress each other with ‘beech’ and such words. Such a turn off.

Re: Manners

Oho, tussi te nunni munni bachi o  … true about the maa behn, but aur wi badi achi achi ayn.

beech :hehe: but you’re right. In their attempt to be all cool they loose all the class :hinna:

Re: Manners

**I don’t know what eating manners are.

.**

Re: Manners

Manners is overrated. No benefit in outward calmness. Better to be fair than well mannered.

I used to give gaali. Hardly nowadays. Unless thinking of bro.

Re: Manners

Nopes. I detest using it or hearing it.

Re: Manners

WTF are manners LeP? Dont you read those sh!tty blogs

Re: Manners

How consistent are you with your manners?
**Very inconsistent.
**
For instance:

Do you watch your language usage, tone etc while talking to others? Do you use profanity, and when?
**I act very different in different settings. I only use profanity when talking to my husband or sisters. **

Can you stay calm and well-mannered under all sort of situations?
**No, I have a bad habit of getting up and leave when I don’t like what’s going on. I don’t excuse myself either. Sometimes this is a very subconscious act. **

Do you swear at people?
No, that’s one thing I refuse to do.

Do you consider yourself to be well-mannered? If yes, why?
No, not at all. I am one of those parhi likhi jahil. :frowning:

What is your definition of a well-mannered/ill-mannered person?
**Hell if I know! I don’t pay much attention unless it’s very obvious like someone scratching their privates in public or something like that. **

To make the topic more general: and what about eating manners etc?
**I eat chawal with my bare hands. I don’t care who is watching. There is no fun in eating Biryani with utensils. **

Re: Manners

I know, they are so cringe worthy!

You know how some people eat even soup with a fork, everything less they find jaahil. And some people are fine with eating with open mouth. Etc

I disagree with manners is overrated, but at the same I think one should ‘let go’ once in a while.

Neat! :k:

Re: Manners

I know enough! :hehe:

I eat most things with my hands aswell, except for rice (pasta etc). It would become a mess with all the raita/chutney.

Re: Manners

LMAO@eating soup with a fork!

Re: Manners

By the way, I can’t imagine watching an important match and staying calm and nice.

“Oh you naughty, don’t you drop a catch again!”

“Fie on you, umpire, for not giving lbw”

Re: Manners

I can’t drive without swearing at people (with windows up offcourse).

Re: Manners

ok, I am guilty of that too. :frowning:

Re: Manners

OMG so true Something happens to some people’s brains when they sit behind a wheel!!!

Le Pak you must record yourself next time during a match :hehe: I bet you let out some moti
