So by this explanation, me simply saying that ‘oh mere allah, mera ‘falaan’ kaam karwa dijeeye. Main aap ka baRaa shukarguzaar hoon gaa’ is wrong, because I am trying to bribe Allah by offering my gratitude in return?

i’m sorry but i don’t do “baHs baraaye baHs”. i think my post is self explanatory. i said don’t tie your du’a and good deeds/sadaaqaat with the fulfillment of your wishes.
