****LAHORE: **An additional district and sessions judge on Monday granted bail to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) co-founder Malik Ishaq on the submission of a surety bond worth Rs500,000.
**
Ishaq is not expected to be released today as the bail has not been submitted, and he is also currently accused in other cases.
He was arrested earlier this month and was sent on a 14-day judicial remand to Kot Lakhpat jail in a case registered against him for giving a “provocative speech to spread hatred” during a Khatm-e-Nabuwwat rally near Lahore.
The case had been registered under Article 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 3 of the Amplifier Act.
The bail plea of Ishaq said that the Article 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code does not apply in this case and it was a mala fide action on part of the police to register the case.
Shame on our judical system and double shame on CJ. he walk away again with bail before was no evidence, i really wana throw few stone on him he face like devil.
I think its beyond our CJ, if the judiciary is not provided evidence for a crime then why is judiciary expected to hang the accused? If police/security really thinks he is the main culprit then he needs to die in an encounter.

Verdict of a judge is not a reflection of his own bias, with exceptions, but a conclusion drawn out of the evidence presented to him by the lawyers. We should remember that courts that we deal with are "courts of laws" and not "courts of justice".
Law of the land says " you are innocent till proven guilty otherwise" and no one will prove a murderer a murderer when he knows that his dagger can slice the throat of the judge and the jury alike. Many factors are involved in verdicts like this, no attorney is brave enough to stand on his feet against a gang that can take his life, any judge how so ever honest he may be will try to avoid hearing cases like this when state will turn its back when safety of the judge becomes a question.
Lawyers are effectively liars, they can paint a rosy picture for a devil. a serial killer can be bailed out on the plea of "psychological condition", a murderer of constitution can be offered a red carpet to flee from the country.
My dear, law in our country or for that matter anywhere in the world is a toy made of WAX , any one with ability to mold it can mold it, for poor and helpless the same law is chain of hard steel.
^ We all know that these religious monsters are planted and well protected not by the LAW but polticians/Est. and Punjab is Zarkhez land for this plantation. Days back was only PMLN who was supporting them and now PTI also. Dont feed them they die.

I could have agreed with this argument if Malik Ishaq's was the only case of a known terrorist going scott free. But unfortunately I don't remember a single incident where any sectarian terrorist was ever punished by our courts.
I have heard that if a police officer fails to prove a case against any culprit he produced in court then he should be incarcerated for 2 years. Again, no court including CJ has ever used this provision ever.
It's a shame that Iftikhar's courts have paid compensation for terrorists killed during Lal Masjid seige and only recently let go of their main fasaadi figure, Maulana Abdul Aziz.
Sometimes it looks to me that we have a Lashkar e Jhangvi supporter sitting as CJ of Pakistan.

Please don't be so naive. CJ will quickly jump on it and take another suo moto action. He will ensure that such policemen get maximum punishment possible.
Then people like you would be saying that what CJ did in such a case was according to the law. And that nobody should criticize him for punishing policemen who killed a person extrajudicially, even if that person was a known terrorist.
^ I still believe that the evidence laws need to be changed, so as to remove the pressure from the prosecutors, witnesses and judges. If some one like Malik Ishaq kills in front of me, I will never testify against him in court of law as I know the government wont provide protection to me or my family.
11 years down the road, and after more than 40000 people killed now the government is thinking of changing the laws to cater for the current circumstances.

Sure something could be done if there is a will to take action. But Iftikhar seems to be ignoring this HUGE problem deliberately. He would take suo moto action for a frustrated Waheeda Shah slapping somebody but would let go known terrorist scot-free innocently saying that there was not enough evidence.
He doesn't care that the courts' lack of action against there terrorists is emboldening them and when they let them go free then they go back to kill more innocent people for their beliefs.
Just look at the amount of bail he is set with. 500,000? Are these guys kidding?
These terrorists roam in trucks several times more than this pathetic bail amount that stupid judge has set.

chit bhi meri aur pat bhi.
If govt/military can postpone the "missing" persons case for so many months/years why is it not possible for security apparatus to do same with likes of Malik Ishaq? The problem is not CJ or judiciary alone, there are many politicians, estab, security people who are hand-in-hand with likes of Malik Ishaq. They let him play to certain extent but they can't slap him on face when he crosses his line, they are 'friend' as well as 'afraid' of him, more like a mafia.

May be because in this case army is not involved.
But if Iftikhar and co. really care about people then why can't they postpone the cases of these fasaadis themselves?

It is well known fact that Taliban sympathizers are present everywhere. So what you are saying is nothing new.
But what is deploring is that the courts are hand in hand to those SSP and LJ supporters. And it these same courts who otherwise claim to be the torch-bearers of law.
What it shows is that Iftikhar and his ilk are hypocrites. These hypocrites use law for their own purpose. And this make them no different from any other politician, military dictator, or establishment.
