I didn't lose respect for either of them. Its a stressful environment sometimes things trigger in us that normally would not. It happened next day we were joking once again and it was all cool. No loss of respect or any issues at any point.
That sound you're hearing is the mystique around CM's persona fading. :(
Toliet/Sexual/Crude humor: Whatever it is, if someone in the group isn't comfortable, maybe it should be tonned down, especially with colleagues.(Normal Courtesy call)
However, if I were one who got offended on something, I would probably keep sitting and be absolutely silent the whole while.
and oh i knew why you said you were a pervert when i said blowpop…mmmmm yummy, I knew you would think that right when i was typing it out. i thought the same:bummer:…ha!
So after dinner last night. A bunch of guys varying nationalities having a bout of male humor at the expense of one or two other gentlemen at dinner. Two female colleagues walk in to join us. Its drinks and sheesha.
The humor continues. Basically refering to porn, sexual activity and random other stuff. Its guy humor.
One female has a fit, insults half of us and storms out. The other one just continues to laugh and smoke the sheesha.
Of course the female who left was the butt of a lot jokes and comments afterwards. The question is did the female over-react? Shouldn't she just excused herself instead of throwing a fit?
I think gentlemen should behave in the presence of women.
I think the woman that left was overreacting. Of course I don't know what the guys were saying. There is a line that you shouldn't cross but there is a difference between acting like Steve-O from Jackass and dirty jokes. I think it actually takes some wit to be able to tell dirty jokes, or hint at a double entendre. I tell jokes like that all the time but I've yet to have someone storm off.
In general though, I do try to tone it down if I sense that someone is a bit more conservative.
