Male humor

Re: Male humor

I’m a self-confessed prude. While I’m okay with off-colour jokes that are PG-13, there is definitely a point when the jokes might go too far and make me uncomfortable.

I think it depends on the situation as to whether I would or wouldn’t be offended. If I was invited to be there, then yes I would expect the guys to behave - it’s just common courtesy. I’m going to invoke the mother-sister rule - would the guys say such rude things in front of their mom and sisters?

If I wasn’t invited somewhere and I just inserted myself in a gathering where guys were being guys, then it’s up to me to walk away - I’ve no right or reason to be offended and I wouldn’t throw a hissy fit. That being said, the guys who made a conscious effort to tone down their bawdy humour in my company would get brownie points - who doesn’t love a gentleman

Re: Male humor

I would just politely excuse myself without making a fuss at the scene but i do think that it is rude and disrespectful on the guys part to talk vulgarly in presence of girls. To each there own i wouldnt expect others to change for me but if im uncomfortable with something ill make the leave myself.

Re: Male humor

CM Saab, answer Inspiron's question, which woman did you respect more?
not that it would matter to me but i'm curious

Re: Male humor

:omg:

Re: Male humor

:omg:

Re: Male humor

The one with the bigger boobs obviously!

Re: Male humor

hmmmm :p sounds like you're deflecting the question. i want to know, or are you saying that you didn't lose respect for either of them b/c something like this wouldn't cause you to lose respect for another human being.........am i wrong?

Re: Male humor

That would obviously assume I have some semblance of morality and a functioning brain. Considering the average poster on GS those are very high standards my dear.

Re: Male humor

CM why can't you ever just directly answer a question, forget about the other posters on GS. Honestly answer and you have to answer b/c you're the OP, i won't get hurt, like i said b4, don't run away from the thread like you have done in some other threads. please? i'll give you a blowpop....mmmmm yummmy

Re: Male humor

I am such a pervert. Anyway there is no fun in giving a direct answer. It takes away from all the mystique aroun my persona. Why would I do something that self-defeating?

Re: Male humor

all of us are perverts to a certain degree i think, most are just good at concealing that side of themselves really well.

i admit i am too obviously looking at ma answer

why would you tell me?..come on, nobody can resist them:
aaaaahhhh

fine don’t tell me but i know deep down you really want to tell me, go on now, you can do it

Re: Male humor

Male humour is what Russell Peters does, right? I find him funny, he doesn’t offend me, neither do my male (and female) friends who crack adult jokes every now and then. Heck, I do too.

What does offend me is the vulgar language which I find disgusting! It wasn’t too long ago that I read posts of a now-banned member on GS that enlightened me with all the disgusting punjabi/urdu words that exist!

Re: Male humor

Nope that is not male humor. That is race based humor.

Nisha fine. I didn't lose respect for either of them. Its a stressful environment sometimes things trigger in us that normally would not. It happened next day we were joking once again and it was all cool. No loss of respect or any issues at any point.

Re: Male humor

many men might not think like you though, that’s all i want to convey, you often see all men as being/thinking just like you which many times isn’t the case. other men will or might judge either lady negatively. sometimes, some wouldn’t hesitate to throw around those derogatory names that are said to women even for something as small as this.

i knew you would be respectful to both:flowers:

sigh pure satisfaction at finally getting an honest, nontrolly answer from you. It feels so good. blowpops always work…yippeeeee

Re: Male humor

male humor, to me, is toilet humor. and if ure talking about toilet humor while people are eating, then hell yea its wrong

Re: Male humor

it’s toilet humor? i thought it was subtle sexual humor, now i’m totally confused b/c even i don’t like the toilet humor, i never found it funny:( the farty-poopy barfy type

Re: Male humor

Peter Russel does not use vulgar language ? I will go and double check before I post my real comments about him.

Re: Male humor

Not the kind I'm talking about. I can't elaborate further, family forum hai :D

(And if he did, I must have missed it as I don't follow him religiously)

Re: Male humor

^His humor wasn't as crude when he first came on the scene. His recent shows have been quite vulgar for the desi audience.

Re: Male humor

nvm sounds bad!
