sheyn, I dont know if telling them you want to be a housewife will work either. Because they might think that if they ever decided not to work, you'd automatically go to work/spend money since you are well qualified or already wealthy. I think the best thing to do is istikhara and leave the rest to Allah.

i will seriuosly tell them that even though i went to college and i could get a good job im more of a trophy wife kinda girl ..so all i want to do is stay home and not work .lol

Munni U r right…i remember as a kid we had this aunt next door who was working and supporting the family while the hubby an engineer i think sat around on his fatass n did nuthing. the poor lady wud do on calls n clinics all day n then come home n take care of kids n home …

^ That really depends on your definition of "rich". When I say rich - and in the context of a potential target for gold diggers - I mean private jet rich, or at least ferrari rich.
