First of all these two cases are not related like IK and religious minded are hell bent to make them related.

1. TTP’s who is responsible for 40,000 innocent killings in Pakistan never relates them. Their stated policy is that they want to bring their political-theological mentality in to the governance in the country and they are not ashamed to use violent means to achieve their political-theoligical objectives.

   My emotional friends who continue this rant of relating drones with unjustified killings of our own innocent citizens.. will be the first to run away if the nation has to face increased armed aggression by foreign forces if militants succeed in carrying out a major terrorist attack of large magnitude in some other country.. Please use our upper chamber before it’s too late..

Expecting an equivalent response to 2 evils is not irrational. If people ask for a cessation to drone attacks, it does not in any way mean they are soft on Taliban. It is no secret that Taliban have used drone attacks and army operations as justification for attacks on civilians. It is also no secret that out of the 40,000 civilian deaths you noted, a major chunk has died in political rivalries, business enmities, and normal everyday crime, which has been conveniently lumped into the terrorism fold by our good-for-nothing law enforcement and interior ministry.

A step wise targeted response to the scourge of Taliban should be given a chance, and I believe, will take care of this menace. The drones are not hurting the Taliban as much as they are hurting the civilians. Some genius here wondered what those civilians were doing in the vicinity of the taliban, and that being in physical proximity to a terrorist, they deserved to be bombed as well. By that definition, entire Karachi should be flattened, as every Karachiite is living in close proximity to some bhatta khor, kidnapper, terrorist, or murderer?
