She is portrayed as a hero because she is one. She stood tall against the Taliban, and fought for education for girls. And took a bullet for it. So that your sisters and cousins and nieces and daughters can get access to education. Do yo not think that to be a nible and courageous stand? Why is that not deserving of a Nobel prize? Was there some politics at play. Probably.
