Re: MALAL on HUM TV

a wonderful serial..great job done by malal team..congrats :k:

now i’ll miss it :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

yup i'd miss it a lot. it was fun looking forward to fridays !

umera ahmed MJ and all the team, you did a wonderful job :) !!

Completely Agree with you!!

We can now confidently say that Doraha's success was no fluke. MJ+UA combo is magnificient!! I hope they collaborate more in the future as both are young and can work some wonders when they work together inshallah!

I am going to miss these characters and Lily and her hubby's convos. They always made me laugh :)

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

this is the first time ever people are so sad over a dramas ending :(

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

^ not first time yaar. I think we have been always like this, emotional and loving nation jo hooway ;) . I remember so many serials in past where i almost cried on last episode :( e.g. Alpha Bravo Charlee, Sunehray Din, Dhuwaan, Aroosa and many many many more. I completely stopped watching any dramas in between for about 2-3 yrs, now i have started watching them again and i am feeling sooooooo good :D

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

i cried on ABC, dhuwan cuz of sad ending. sunheray din and aroosa came when i was younger than 6 :( i watched them on dvds. but this is a happy ending drama and i never cried on a happy ended drama except doraha /;d

yes,it was different story than others drama, its location, dialouges and many things were nice.itni jaldi end hogaya abhi tu dil bhi nahin bara tha.

i have always felt this way about GOOD old plays esp Hasina moin's.

Sunehre Din, ABC, Dhuwan, Pal do Pal, even des pardes. in the newer ones doraha and now malal are my favorites.

Umera Ahmed and Mehreen Jabbar really make a great combo. I have always found Baber Javed doesnt do full justice to the script. his direction is somewhat too dramatic and filmy at times !

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

Ankahi and Tanhayyan always remain my favorite but I saw them on DVDs so un par i didnt cry :p

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

I was also very sad when Doraha ended (though i saw it on DVD:p)

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

acha serial apnay time per hi khatam hota hay :)

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

Malal ke khatam hone pe bhi Malal :smack:

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

^lol

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

tomorrow is firday...........................no malaal :(

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

Well, I felt that the last episode was kind of 'half-baked'. Yes, I was anticipating that it was going to end in this way, but it seems as if they just quickly wrapped everything up. Especially the last episode was felt like a lot of fast-forwarding.

I loved Dipti's acting, she is extremely tanented. Even Imran Abbas did a good job, though normally I don't think he acts well. Sarwat Gilaani did an awesome job too.

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

^ yeah Umera was saying on FB that she needs to work on her endings :)
Doraha was the same way - last episode was a bunch of flashbacks and not much happened in it.
Hopefully they'll refine their endings for Daam :-)

Re: MALAL on HUM TV

I agree the endings need a bit of work. They do seem rushed. But I do believe Malaal's ending was a notable improvement from that of Doraha's.

I feel its not just the ending scenarios itself rather its portrayal. Now, I haven't read any of her novels so I may be wrong. Are her endings rushed in the novels too?
