Re: MALAL on HUM TV
wese,, I actually like sonia rehman! she should be in more dramas...
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
Dont they have more actors in pakistan. All the dramas have the same actors, its getting boring now.
But this one looks good.
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
what a bukwas promo ![]()
u cant get anything out of it, except for mora jeeya. why dont they show some witty dialogues of Umera (her speciality) in this promo.
I enjoyed those 4 scenes (guest role) with Ismat Zaidi and Sanam Agha and Imran Abbas as Imran's dad......(Ismat as my better half) in May this year.....and great to work with Mehreen Jabbar.
I reckon the serial will be worth watching...!
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
arjay, please bring in fresh faces then sifarishi actors. They are good, but people are getting sick of the same faces.
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
BAD promo.. lets see how the story line goes.. any info about when it will start?

I tend to agree with you...except on the word sifarishi as there is no such thing as sifarish in private productions! YES...in PTV there is....a huge influence of ministers etc...that you see lousiest of the actors, anchors and what not..perpetually making entries.
Having said that....it is rather disdainfully mentioned here that of the select four channels (relatively popular on plays/serials) who produce and direct their own productions under their banner besides buying them from market; GEO, ARY, HUM & TV One---all have become a victim of GROUPING........due to their in-house and ope ended politics which even their owners and key persons are unaware of--or--too busy to take any interest!
EXAMPLES:
Another major problem which endows the same old faces and hinders the entry of new one by not providing enough courage to the producer or director to take risk on new faces is COMMERCIALISM that the channel will not be able to get the juicy-booty of adverts they do all this hassle for...(and not for the love of viewers...like you!!)
And they lived happily ever after:)
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
Most of the actors and technicians working on private channels come from PTV. Though it has been corrupted by an uneducated management but still the quality of work the same artistes did on PTV was much higher than what they have done on private channels.
Besides, nowadays dramas are not as popular as current affairs talk shows. Surprisingly, they are more exciting, absorbing, and wittier!!!!

Imran and Deepti in New York and Imran rebelling with his parents in Karachi...is all I know of MALAL.
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
Uncle do you know deepti's full name? Is she the same one from Ishq junoon deewangi? Oh ok. Lets see how this drama turns out.
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
^Deepti Gupta i think,yes she's also in IJD..
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
I know Mehreen was very excited to work with Umera again so I think this should be another fantastic production from Mimi+Umera combo that we saw in Doraha! Looking totally forward to it :)
When does it start? Now that Aashti has ended and Noor pur is almost finished. I guess either Sat or Sun?
Re: MALAL on HUM TV
starts from 10th oct

EXAMPLES:
At ARY....you will always see AIJAZZ ASLAM highly active and almost in every serial and show or function! that's because of his close friendship with the Head Entertainment. We all know he is a bad actor (though a good friend of mine!)
At GEO....we have a highly well knit group under the aegis of someone...who has immense experience on drama etc but has a different eye for the artiste from the city he is based at!
At HUM TV....its professionalism all the way. However--they too have a group which hinders in the way of new talent to enter!
At TV-ONE......Shamoon & Aliya Imam have monopoly but the talented Shehwar Rahim goes only for merit that she has produced certain fantastic plays by introducing new faces.

Thank you for clearing that out. Yes thats what i meant, there is lobbying going on in channels. I saw Jugguns interview, and she was talking about it as well.
Just to add to your list:
1. ARY- Talat Hussain, Kazi Wajid
2. HUM TV- Qavi Khan.
