Are apparently copies of the Quran. Im assuming copies, because Islamically one isnt allowed to marry two sisters at the same time. This is truly pathetic, a man who was very close to being our prime minster bound by ties of matrimony to our holy book.

Ravage, it is not known for sure whether this is true or not. Also, Sindhis do not like to talk about their families, especially sisters in the media, so I doubt McDoom will come out and clarify this. Also, even if they are married to the Quran, why must we blame McDoom for that? Maybe their sisters jahalat (if it was true) was greater than McDooms convincing powers.

there is always the slight chance that the rape victim might have been into that sort of stuff, and the possibility that the honour killing victim might be off to kill herself for her honour anyway.. it just isnt the most likely case.

This is utterly sick and honestly we can't blame the women, they are forced by the men (bros and father). In such families/cases women really don't have any rights to refuse, condemn, or anything. Anyhow, this is a sick practice and it is sad that it is being practiced by such a prominent politician (if the news is true.)

Its a well known practice in the feudal system of Sindh. Nothing as a shocker, even if its real.
Whatever it is , its a very sick system.
Here is how I thought of that:
Unless I am grossly misinterpreting you, you are suggesting that his sisters wanted to marry the Quran inspite of Makhdooms protestations along the lines of “no no, dont marry quran, i will happily part with my property.”. Or like X2 you think its possible the motivation of his sisters jahalat (if it was true) was love marriage and not property..

People do crazy things, like you mentioned, this one guy in India did marry a dog out of his free will in India, and I have a youtube link to the entire video. So yeah, maybe the girls out of their own jahalat did this on their own, and maybe it had nothing to do with inheritance. Again, I highly doubt this is true, as theres no factual evidence to prove it. It would be nice if McDoom comes out in the open and dismisses this as false though.

I know what you are trying to say, lets not pin it on women just yet, the "wadera" traditions are well known to everyone so lets see if McDoom ever comes out to explain (highly unlikely).

Yea you are right. We shouldn't blame dr. mcdhoom for this. we should blame his sisters for marrying the quran. I suppose kind of like blaming women for rape and foriegn visa, like mr musharraf. god dam those women. dr hazrat maab mcdhoom can do no wrong. :)
