Makeup Help!!!

Oright i see, will get that then.

I don't need to :)

It was just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

what brush are you using? i use the angled brush and use it wet. basically i run it under the tap and then gently squeeze the bristles between my finger and thumb to get rid of the excess water. use it damp like that and do the main body of one eye. then clean the product off with some tissue, re-wet, new product and do the other eye. leave the flicks etc til the end so you can make sure they are exactly the same :)

I think women do the big bold makeup to show off their skills to other women rather than to attract men.

There’s the “Ia m a fashionista” type that only other women can appreciate, and then there’s the type that men can appreciate too.

Uhm. Why would I need to show you something better to prove that I think it looks a messy (close up at least)? I was offering you a helpful tip for a product which you would have better control over and therefore be able to perfect the look you're after.

I'm using mac's precision eyeliner brush, and i use it dry. never used it wet though, will try that

Re: Makeup Help!!!

I think mine looks wicked considering i had 5 mins to do my make up and my brush is a straight flexible one. well done me!

Post up yourssssssssssssssss

It might help as the bristles stick together. I use #263 small angled brush (it's the synthetic version of the #266, for creme products) - the bristles don't do here and there and all stay together on this brush so it's great for lines and points. I think it takes a bit of getting used to...

Re: Makeup Help!!!

I'm moving this to fashion and beauty because i think marwah and all the other makeup ladies can provide valuable insight into this arabic beauty how-to conversation!

thanks to those who gave suggestions on eyeliners. Yeah I like Mac fluidline too. I haven't worn it for ages now but as far as I can remember, it doesn't really smudge. Don't know about its use in pakistan's heat though..

I am still looking for a tutorial that explains how to acheive that perfect smokey eyeliner, haven't found any good tutorial on this yet. As I mentioned before, i saw girls in pakistan trying to do this makeup but it went horribly wrong only because they didn't make it smokey. It was just a thick black line around their eyes.

Acheiving that perfect arabic eyeliner involves more than one color eyeliner I think. But how does one acheive this??

Re: Makeup Help!!!

^ Why dont you jus go to youtube? How can anyone possibly explain it to you on this website? I tried but got criticize'd. However i didnt see the 'perfect eye' anyway. doubt i ever will.

So well done to me and Punjabi rose. Only ones that actually made the effort.

(btw mine and your eyes look the same) No?

Re: Makeup Help!!!

Oh dear me children, this is not a playground, pull your tights up and move on.

Original question: When you have time, go to a make up counter, go to several in fact, take a friend or sibling with you and ask the MUA people behind the counter to show you how its done.

Most are very nice underneath the 6 inches of orange powder and will help you.

  • See the problem for people living outside pakistan is that when u go to makeup counters here, ur obviously going to get a non-desi makeup artist and they're not really that great at arabic/paki makeup, are they? At least here in Ireland I wouldn't be expecting an Irish to give me a makeup breakdown of pakistani brides.

Re: Makeup Help!!!

You want your make up to look Pakistani? I dont know of that look, apart from flour on face look.

As for the arabic look - find an arab innit! Job done!

Re: Makeup Help!!!

Re: Makeup Help!!!

flour on the face LOL..

Try Eily311 she is actually a arab

Re: Makeup Help!!!

Whilst I admire her eyes, I think that kind of look on the wrong shaped eyes could have the potential to make one look like a raccoon.

I personally think only certain people can pull of this look, even then it scares me...look at all the eyeshadow man!

Re: Makeup Help!!!

Tbh, you have to have coloured eyes. black eye shadow jus doesnt look right on dark eyes.

Re: Makeup Help!!!

Lets not even talk about coloured contact lenses. :)

Re: Makeup Help!!!

I never said contacts. i said coloured eyes man. Natural blue eyes green eyes. ufff too nice
