Ok, So I am now calling the MUA for my wedding coming up in June.. followed some names given here and calling some from random search..
Splendour.. dhs.2000 for in-salon and dhs.2500 at the venue
Allure- number is wrong ( please send me correct number plz!)
Aroushi- dhs. 1800 in-salon and dhs.3000 at the venue
Zodiac- dhs. 1200 in-salon
Allenora- dhs. 2500 at venue
The haven depilex- number is busy all the time

I got my wedding make up done with full wedding package from Mushkbaar and everybody loved my makeup and i was looking too good for myself too :)
Mushkbaar personnel even called me and said that they had customers who referred my pic and said want make up like mine

mushkbar has nice makeup, not something i would go for but we have our own taste...
i want the kim kardashian kind of smokey eyes, which is why I like Aliya Tipu, whereas mushkbar is more into colours and a very desi look,
i would recommend you go see mushqbar for a trial because i know alot of girls who are happy with her..
If you want smokey I recommend Zodiac, my friend looked STUNNING from them and she had smokey eyes.. you can take a picture and she'll copy the makeup for you..
btw Bina from Depilex is the hairstylist at Zodiac so she can do your hair the desi way too! the MUA just does makeup, Bina does the hair :)

It depends how YOU want ur makeup to be.... i have seen in Mushkbaar the very paindoo type pix and extra mod stytles too

I don't have a typical desi face.. which means.. i got little chini eyes...and well I aint desi actually.. so i am scared and confused as to what might suit.. instead of me suggesting the MUA about kind of makeup..i want someone to tell me .. what will suuit me... Sourskittle.. you decided on any? I really like the allenora light smokey eyes makeup.. but not sure if it wll suit my eyes and i dont wana keep dong trial makeup and spend money :(

the allenora in dubai is not the one by aliya tipu but the one by annie mansoor. i had asked aliya tipu as well but she said she charges AED 3000 and we have to pay for her ticket as well!
i called allure and they said they charge 1500! has anyone tried that place?
aroushi is alright except that my personal experience with them wasnt very good for my engagement! i admit, it was my mistake to stress on avoiding the cakey look, which made me look a tone or two darker than my original tone. while many complimented it, i personally was not satisfied! it was the party make up i had opted for, perhaps the bridal is better, but i personally am too disheartened to go back there! another issue i had was with my hair, she was curling it up with the iron and she literally burnt my hair! when i was opening my curls at night i cud feel the hair break down into ashes, i had to eventually lay out a newspaper and open up the curls as the burnt hair fell down in bits and ashes, i even cried, it was that severe!
does anybody have any pics they cud share from zodiac? do the free trials apply only when u book the bridal package? where is it located?

called honeymoon salon n satwa-- they have bridal pkg of dhs 1600.. it is superb.... but in-salon.. i would have gone there if someone takes responsibility of pckng and dropping me from there.. whch i dont.. so looking for at venue artists..
but they do a good job on makeup bcoz my sis had hers done.
Zodiac-- too far.. so skipping on that...

also, Zodiac will come to where you are! that's what I heard anyways...
don't go for Allure, my friend had her makeup done from there and she looked TERRIBLE, white foundation, no contouring, badly blended eyemakeup, I wouldnt recommend at ALL!
nope havent decided an artist yet, nor a venue!! everythings so frikkin expensive here, madinat jumeirah, royal mirage etc are 350dhs a head, grand hyatt is 290 a head, reasonable right now is murooj rotana at 200 a head.. and their ballroom and food is really good, seems a decent choice!
