Re: make-up artist in north west - manchester

Shameela Islam- Asian Creations- She's a make up artist however she's decided to become a doctor and is now at my medical school. But she's still carrying on with her make-up so you could give her a try.....Sh'es very popular

Or there's Sabiha's Beauty Studio on Wilmslow Road, next to Worldwide Cash and Carry. I've seen some of her bridal work (real brides, untouched photos) and they've turned out pretty good.....

There's also a new make up artist around at the moment, Zara, she's also around Wilmslow Road...haven't seen any of her make up but I know lots of people go to her to have their mehndi done....

Radiant Beauty Salon (also along Wilmslow Road! Lol)...But they're bride's look very traditional. Don't think I've ever seen any modern looking brides, but depends on what look you're going for on your wedding day....

Those are the only one's I can think off the top of my head, other's aren't that amazing...i.e Sahara, Tip Top, etc...but still worth a shot..

If I remember anymore I'll let you know....

Hope it helps! x

Hi there Academy - Farida the owner whose based in Rochdale is FANTASTIC!!! You can have the whole mehndi/hair and bridal package down to your nails for about 800- she uses the best in products and gives you the personal touch- shes defintely worth paying a a visit! Best of luck

Re: make-up artist in north west - manchester

sabihas is rubbish - OMG - dont go to her.

Asian Creations is the best in the North West - she is untouchable lol

Yeah, Shamila's work is amazing, love the eyelashes! But I honestly thought the photo albums in Sabiha's weren't that bad? You could see the before and after picture which I thought was good....

Silsila, did you go to Sabiha's for a trial? If so can you tell us a bit more about your experience.....thanks

Re: make-up artist in north west - manchester

sabiha - no way! my friend had a trial, but decided not to go with her, i know another girl who got her bridal done from there and I was HORRFIED by the result! Poor makeup use/hair/dupatta setting. Shameela is in a league of her own in the north west at present and is in high demand. My sisters best mate got her makeup done by Shanaz - and although it was good it wasnt 'wow'. All my family and friends have always used Shamila and I wouldnt go anywhere else!

what is good about shameela is that all her work in the bridal magazines, she actually also has the same picture in natural light so brides can see everything without the touch up. i dont know about sabihas portfolio - when i saw it last it was not professional - she may have updated it but i would never go to them.....and im a picky girl :-)

Re: MUA in London & Bradford

Asian Creations is near Bradford, i think they are based in Manchester. They are supposed to be awesome. Another one is, Mona Baig. She supposed to be good too. She is based in Bradford.

Re: MUA in London & Bradford

Have a look at Moona Bigs website...her work looks amazing and she is based in leeds/bradford.

Has anyone heard of puni punoo?! I don't think that's the correct spelling of her name...but she is based in Slough and is apparently quite good! Unfortunately I don't have any details for her!

Re: MUA in London & Bradford

I think you are talking about Patti Panue, I have seen one of her brides and she looked very good.
Also try Gini Bhogal and BridalbeautybyIram
